STAR Alliance service benefits to SIA customers

 

Being part of the Star Alliance family allows SIA customers to enjoy:

i)    Coordinated schedules
By coordinating arrival and departure times, Star Alliance member airlines have optimised connections within the network and reduced waiting times for our passengers.

Thanks to a comprehensive network, Star Alliance airlines are able to offer our customers additional value via a wide variety of airpasses and special fares including Star Alliance Round the World Fare, Circle Asia Fare, Circle North Asia, Circle Pacific Fare and the Airpasses for Africa, China, Middle East, North America, Europe, Japan, Asia, South Pacific and Thailand.


iii)  Enhanced Customer Service
Through check-in, joint ticketing, joint check-in and baggage facilities, co-location of partners and connection teams at key airports are just some of the Star Alliance customer service initiatives to provide a smoother travel experience for our customers.


iv)  A More Rewarding Frequent Flyer Programme
As a KrisFlyer member with SIA, you can earn Frequent Flyer miles when you take qualifying flights on any member of the Star Alliance network. Redemption is also available on any Star Alliance member airline.

In addition, PPS Club members and  KrisFlyer Elite Gold members have Star Alliance Gold status and KrisFlyer Elite Silver members have Star Alliance Silver status. They are recognised as valuable customers whenever they travel on a Star Alliance member airline and enjoy the following benefits:

  • Priority Check-In: Star Alliance Gold members can make use of separate check-in desks.
  • Priority Waitlist: Star Alliance Gold and Star Alliance Silver members receive priority waitlisting if the desired flight is already fully booked.
  • Priority Airport Standby: Star Alliance Gold and Star Alliance Silver members receive priority standby listing if you arrive at the airport without any reservation for a specific flight (subject to local regulations).
  • Lounge Access: Star Alliance Gold members have access to more than 970 lounges worldwide*.
  • Priority Baggage Tags: Star Alliance Gold members enjoy priority baggage service across the network.
  • Priority Boarding : Star Alliance Gold members can board before other passengers travelling in Economy Class.
  • Extra Baggage Allowance : Star Alliance Gold members enjoy increased check-in baggage allowance.
