Osaka Aquarium Kaiyukan

Go underwater at the world-famous Osaka Aquarium Kaiyukan, home to acrobatic dolphins, otherworldly jellyfish and giant spider crabs. The aquarium’s centrepiece is a nine metre-deep central tank that displays a female whale shark named Yu-chan. A stone’s throw away is the Tempozan Giant Ferris Wheel from where you can take in a panoramic view of the city from 112m in the air.

Abeno Harukas

Climb even higher at Abeno Harukas – the tallest building in Japan. The 60-storey building has an observation deck on its top floor that towers 300m above ground. It’s scheduled to open on March 7, 2014.
