Bengaluru India

The software boom in the 1990s put this once sleepy town on the world map. Today, Bengaluru is the information technology capital of India, home to some of the biggest companies in the business. Despite this, Bengaluru remains a charming, easy-going city, living up to its moniker of “pensioners’ paradise.”

Bengaluru is also one of India’s greenest cities, dotted with parks and gardens, ponds and lakes. For most residents though, the biggest attraction is the city’s perennial cool weather. That, and the fact that the city is home to some of the best new pubs and microbreweries in the country.
