Excess Baggage Charges

 
Any items over your free checked piece and weight allowance will be charged as excess baggage.


Zonal System
Excess baggage charges are levied by zonal pricing for the following countries, according to the originating and disembarking region:

Band 1: Brunei, Indonesia, Malaysia, Philippines Singapore, Thailand, and Vietnam.
Band 2: Bangladesh, China, Hong Kong, India, Maldives, Pakistan, Sri Lanka and Taiwan.
Band 3: Australia, Egypt, Japan, Korea, New Zealand, Saudia Arabia and United Arab Emirates.
Band 4: Denmark, France, Germany, Greece, Italy, Netherlands, Russia, South Africa, Spain, Switzerland, Turkey and United Kingdom.

The above system applies to all travel itineraries that do not involve USA and Canada, including interline travel, with Singapore Airlines as the first flight segment. Exceptions to this policy are itineraries between Dubai and Moscow, and Dubai and Istanbul. Excess baggage charges for these itineraries will be levied at USD 22 per kilogram.

Piece System
For flights to and from the USA and Canada, excess baggage will be continued to be levied on a per-piece basis. For more information on baggage allowance for USA and Canada, please click here.
