What is Internet check-in?
Singapore Airlines is pleased to present our Internet check-in service, a convenient way to check in for most of your flights. You may check in for a flight if you have a confirmed booking with Singapore Airlines and have a valid ticket. Internet check-in is available for all booking and ticket types.

What services does Internet check-in offer?
Internet check-in currently allows you to do the following:
  • Check in
  • Perform seat changes after check-in
  • Check-in cancellation
    Please note: Passengers whose check-in is cancelled either through online cancel check-in, or make a check-in cancellation request to our reservation agents, will not be able to recheck-in online for the same flight.  Please proceed to the airport if you would like to recheck-in for the same flight.



What is the availability of Internet check-in?
All Internet check-in services are available between 2 and 48 hours prior to flight departure.

Who can use Internet check-in?
Internet check-in is available to all Singapore Airlines passengers with the exception of the categories of passengers below:
  • Passengers under the age of 17 who are travelling alone (unaccompanied minors)
  • Passengers under the age of 17 who are travelling without passengers above the age of 17
  • Passengers who have indicated for special or with medical assistance to be provided
  • Passengers travelling in a group of 10 or more
  • Passengers who have a preceding flight on the same booking that is not operated by SIA 


Who can use Internet check-in - seat change?
Internet check-in - seat change is available to:
  • PPS Club members
  • KrisFlyer member


Who can use Internet check-in - cancel check-in?
Internet check-in - cancel check-in is available to all passengers who have already performed a successful check-in.

Where can I use Internet check-in?
Singapore Airlines is constantly adding to the list of airports offering Internet check-in -- ultimately offering the service throughout our network. It is currently available for flights departing from most Singapore Airlines-served airports.

Is Internet check-in available for all Singapore Airlines flights?
Internet check-in is available for most Singapore Airlines flights.

Internet check-in can be initiated for codeshare flights operated by Singapore Airlines. It is possible to perform a through check-in for selected connecting codeshare flights marketed by Singapore Airlines provided there is preceding Singapore Airlines operated flight. It is also possible to perform a through check-in for connecting flights operated by selected airlines provided there is a preceding Singapore Airlines operated flight and a through check-in arrangement between Singapore Airlines and the other airline.

Can I use Internet Check-in for codeshare flights?
Singapore Airlines has different codeshare arrangements with various airlines. In some cases, Singapore Airlines operates the codeshare flight and in other cases Singapore Airlines markets the codeshare flights operated by another airline. Internet check-in can be initiated for codeshare flights operated by Singapore Airlines. It is also possible to check in for selected connecting codeshare flights marketed by Singapore Airlines provided there is a preceding Singapore Airlines operated flight.

Am I able to use Internet check-in for connecting flights operated by other airlines?
Yes, it is possible to check in for connecting flights operated by selected airlines provided there is a preceding Singapore Airlines flight and a through check-in arrangement between Singapore Airlines and the other airline.

How many flights will I be able to check-in online?
You can choose to check in on all flights in your booking that are open for check-in or only on the first flight open for check-in. Should you have connecting flights on Singapore Airlines, we highly recommend that you check in 48 hours prior to the departure of your connecting flight.

Am I able to check-in for my travelling companions?
You can check in your travel companions included in the same booking record as yours. Internet check-in is limited to travel parties with a maximum size of 9. You can choose which companions you would like to check in. Please note that if you are checking-in for your travel companions, you will need to have their ticket and passport details ready to complete the check-in transaction.

Why is there an age restriction on Internet check-in?
Internet check-in is currently restricted to customers over 12 years of age.  Singapore Airlines does not allow customers under the age of 12 to purchase a ticket on our website.

With which airlines does Singapore Airlines have through check-in agreements with?
Singapore Airlines has through check-in agreements with the following airlines. You will not be able to check-in on your Singapore Airlines flight if it is preceded by any of these partner airlines:

Check-in
What does the 'Check-in' function do?
Selecting 'Check-in' will bring you to a page with all your bookings for which you can check in.

Why is there a check-in menu?
The check-in menu gives you the option of choosing the check-in transaction you wish to use and increase the convenience of Internet check-in.

Why am I unable to see the check-in menu?
The check-in menu will only be seen when you log into the website as a registered user. This page will only be seen if you are a PPS Club or KrisFlyer member.

I have logged in to the member's area. Why are you unable to locate my bookings?
  • If you are a PPS Club or KrisFlyer member and you supplied your KrisFlyer Membership Number when you made your booking through a travel agent, any Singapore Airlines Reservations Office, or the Singapore Airlines' website, you will see your bookings that can be checked in. Your bookings that cannot be checked in will not be displayed.
  • If you did not supply your PPS Club or KrisFlyer Membership Number, or if your PPS Club or KrisFlyer Membership Number was not appended to your bookings when your booking was made, you will not be able to see your bookings even if they can be checked in.
  • If you are a PPS Club or KrisFlyer member and do not see your bookings that you wish to check-in, please check-in using the alternate route of providing your bookings details for our system to retrieve your booking.


How do I find the alternate route to check-in?
You will find the alternate route to check-in on the 'Travel Details' page under the itinerary list. Alternatively, you can log out of member's area and proceed to the 'Internet check-in' page.

It is within 48 hours to flight departure. Why am I unable to check in?
There are occasional instances where operational exigencies prevent us from opening the flight for check-in. You will be unable to check in on the Internet temporarily. Please try again later or check in at the airport.

Why am I prevented from checking in?
You may be prevented from checking in if:
  • You are under the age of 17 and are travelling alone (unaccompanied minors)
  • You are under the age of 17 and travelling with other passengers who are under the age of 17
  • You have indicated for special or medical assistance to be provided
  • You are travelling in a group of 10 or more


Why am I unable to log in?
You may not be able to log in for the following reasons:
  • You may entered an incorrect KrisFlyer membership number and/or PIN. Kindly verify your login information, and try again.
  • You may entered an incorrect User ID and/or PIN. Kindly verify your login information, and try again.
  • Our systems may be unavailable due to scheduled maintenance. Please forgive us for any inconvenience caused, and kindly try again later. Alternatively, you can check-in by using the alternate route for other users.


Why is check-in unavailable for my flight?
Check-in may be unavailable for your flight may be for the following reasons:
  • You may have entered an incorrect flight number. Kindly verify your flight number, departure city and departure date, and try again.
  • You may have selected an incorrect departure city for the flight number. Kindly verify your flight number, departure city and departure date, and try again.
  • You may have selected an incorrect departure date for the flight number. Kindly verify your flight number, departure city and departure date, and try again.
  • Occasionally, our flights may not be open for check-in due to operational exigencies. Please forgive us for any inconvenience caused, and kindly try again later.


Why am I unable to perform any check-in transaction?
You may be unable to perform check-in transactions for the following reasons:
  • You may have entered incorrect travel details. Kindly verify your given name, family name, booking identifier (ticket number, booking reference number, passport number or frequent flyer membership number,) and try again.
  • Occasionally, our systems may be unavailable due to scheduled maintenance. Please forgive us for any inconvenience caused, and kindly try again later.


I made a booking and I want to check-in on the internet. Why can't you retrieve my booking?
  • If you are a KrisFlyer member and you supplied your KrisFlyer Membership Number when you made your booking (through a travel agent or any Singapore Airlines Reservations Office or though singaporeair.com), please login with your KrisFlyer Membership Number and PIN. If you did not supply your KrisFlyer Membership Number when you made your booking, we will not be able to retrieve your booking for Internet check-in.
  • If you are any other user please verify your booking details.


Why do I need to provide my given name, family name, and title?
We use your name together with the booking identifier (ticket number, passport number, booking reference, and frequent flyer membership number) to locate your booking in our system.

Please note that if you are using the passport number that you did provide it when you made your reservation.

Why am I unable to check in?
The following are some likely reasons:
  • You do not have a confirmed booking. Kindly verify that you have confirmed your booking.
  • You do not have a ticketed booking. Kindly verify that you have ticketed your booking.
  • In your reservation, you requested to travel as an unaccompanied minor or young person travelling alone, or you have indicated certain medical needs. Due to the special servicing you require, please proceed directly to the airport to complete your check-in procedures.
  • Your travel party may be too large. Currently, Internet Check-in is limited to travelling parties with a maximum size of 9. Please proceed directly to the airport to complete your check-in procedures.
  • You have entered the wrong flight details (flight number, departure city or departure date.) Please check your itinerary, and try again.


Which type of tickets can be used for Internet check-in?
Internet check-in is compatible with all ticket types including traditional paper tickets, ATBs, and electronic tickets. We recommend that you use an electronic ticket as frequently as possible, as the electronic ticketing system stores all your ticket details in our database.

Why am I asked to provide my flight details?
We use this information to locate your booking on our systems.

Why am I asked to enter passport information?
Immigration and Customs Authorities use this data to ensure the relevant checks are made before you arrive. If the information you have entered is wrong then it may mean severe delays for you upon arrival.

What is Australia Advance Passenger Processing?
Australian immigration law requires all visitors who are not Australian citizens to have authority, in the form of a visa, to travel to and stay in Australia.

Under Australia's Advance Passenger Processing (APP) system, visa information is obtained from all intending overseas travellers (except New Zealand citizens) and is available at airports before passengers arrive.

  1. The name that you used when making a booking corresponds with your name in your passport
  2. You have a valid electronic visa from the Australian Government's Department of Immigration and Multicultural and Indigenous Affairs


What is New Zealand Advance Passenger Processing?
New Zealand has implemented a new system, Advance Passenger Screening, designed to enhance the security of New Zealand's borders.

If any of the following occur you may be denied boarding for your flight to New Zealand:
  • You do not have an appropriate visa to enter New Zealand
  • Your visa has expired
  • Your visa has not been transferred to your current/new passport or the passport being used to enter New Zealand
To minimise any disruption to your travel plans please ensure your travel documents are up to date and that you have the appropriate and current Visa.

For successful New Zealand Advance Passenger Processing clearance, please make sure:
  1. The name that you used when making a booking corresponds with your name in your passport
  2. You have a valid visa from the New Zealand Immigration Service


When am I considered to have checked in?
Once you have reached the Check-in Summary Page, you have been checked-in on our system.

Seat Change
Can I change my seat after checking in online?
Now you can change seats for yourself and your travelling companions even after Internet check-in has been successfully performed.
  • For PPS Club members and KrisFlyer members, you can log in to your account and make seat changes by utilizing the "Change Seat" function found under the "Check In" tab.
  • For non-Krisflyer members, you can click on the 'Check-in' tab on the home page, enter the respective fields required and click on the "Change Seats/Print Boarding Passes" icon.

Please note that this function is not available for passengers who have already printed their boarding passes online.



How do I change my seat?
When viewing the Seat Map, the green seats (green seat icon) indicate availability, while the grey seats (grey seat icon) are already occupied. The blue seat (blue seat icon) indicates your current seat. If you would like to change your seat you may do so by clicking on one of the green seats and then click "Submit."

Singapore Airlines will do its utmost to ensure that your seat selection is retained. However, Singapore Airlines may have to reassign seats without prior notice due to operational exigencies.

Why was my seat change unsuccessful?
If you encountered problems with seat changes, please try again. Should the problem persist, we recommend that you change your seats at the airport.


Why is seat change unavailable?
We apologise for any inconvenience caused. You can still request for a change of seat at the airport.

Check-in Cancellation
Can I cancel my flight after checking in online?
Now you can cancel check-in online, regardless if you are a guest booker or registered customers (PPS Club members and KrisFlyer members).

Please note that cancellation of check-in will not be allowed if one or more of the passengers in the same booking has checked-in baggage and/or has had his/her Self-printed Boarding Pass verified at the check-in counter.

Please also note that if you have cancelled the check-in for a flight, you will not be able to recheck-in online for same flight.  Please proceed to the airport if you would like to recheck-in for the same flight.

How do I cancel my Check-in?
For registered customers (PPS Club member and KrisFlyer members):
  • Login to your account and click on the "Check-in" tab . Click on "View Flights" to find the flight that you have been checked-in for.
  • Selecting "Cancel Check-in" on the checked-in flight will bring you to a page showing all passengers who have been checked-in.
  • You can then proceed with your check-in cancellation.

For non-registered customers:

  • At the internet check-in page, please insert your flight details and the seat number assigned for the flight you would like to cancel your check-in.
  • Selecting the "Cancel Check-in" will bring you to a page showing all passengers who have been checked in.
  • You can then proceed with your check-in cancellation.


Why do I have to provide additional information to cancel check-in for my travel companions?
In the interest of security and the prevention of unauthorised check-in cancellation, you are required to provide either the ticket number or passport number of your travel companions should you wish to cancel check-in on their behalf.

How do I change my booking after cancelling my check-in?
To make changes to your flight after check-in cancellation, please contact your travel agent, tour operator or any Singapore Airlines reservations office or our service counter at the airport. Information on our worldwide offices may be found in the "contact us" section of this website.

Does cancelling my check-in mean that I am cancelling my booking?
No. Cancelling your check-in does not cancel your booking.

Please note that if you have cancelled the check-in for a flight, you will not be able to recheck-in online for same flight. Please proceed to the airport if you would like to recheck-in for the same flight.

Arriving at the Airport
Can I use Internet check-in if I have baggage to check in as well?
Yes, simply check in your baggage when collecting your boarding pass at the airport. Please ensure that you provide sufficient time for this. Please note the times vary according to the departure city.

How do I collect my boarding pass after Internet check-in?
If you are departing from Singapore:
  • For Terminal 2 passengers, please proceed to Row 5 (for First and Business Class Passengers) or Row 8 (for Economy Class Passengers)
  • For Terminal 3 passengers, please proceed to Row 6 (for First and Business Class Passengers) or Rows 3 and 4 (for Economy Class Passengers)
For all other Stations, please proceed to the respective Singapore Airlines Counter at the Airport.

What are the earliest and latest times for collecting my boarding pass?
Please collect your boarding pass from 3 hours up to 45 minutes prior to departure depending on your departure city. Please refer to the times given on the Check-in Confirmation screen. If you do not pick up your boarding pass by the minimum time stipulated, you may have your check-in cancelled and your seat re-assigned. Please save yourself unnecessary hassle by collecting your boarding pass on time.

Where do I collect my boarding pass and check in my bags?
Information on the location to collect your boarding pass and check in your bags will be provided on the Check-in Confirmation Screen.

Self-Printed Boarding Passes
What are Self-Printed Boarding Passes?
Singapore Airlines is pleased to present Self-Printed Boarding Passes. Now you can print your boarding pass after successfully performing Internet check-in. Once your check-in is confirmed, you will be given the option to print your boarding pass.

Who can be issued Self-Printed Boarding Passes?
This facility is available to Singapore Airlines flights departing from Singapore, Abu Dhabi, Adelaide, Amsterdam, Athens, Auckland, Bangkok, Barcelona, Beijing, Brisbane, Cairo, Christchurch, Colombo, Bali, Frankfurt, Fukuoka, GuangZhou, Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City, Hong Kong, Istanbul, Jakarta, Karachi, Kuala Lumpur, Lahore, London, Melbourne, Manchester, Manila, Milan, Nagoya, Nanjing, Osaka, Paris, Penang, Perth, Rome, Shanghai, Sydney, Taipei, Tokyo and Zurich (except flights bound for the United States of America).  More stations will be added progressively.

Please note the following:
1) due to security concerns, this service is temporarily suspended for flights departing from Cape Town (CPT).

What are the benefits of having a Self-Printed Boarding Pass?
You will not have to queue to check-in and collect your boarding passes. There will be designated counters you can go to endorse your boarding pass and check-in your bags.

What must I do when I arrive at the airport?
Due to security requirements, we require that passengers proceed to designated counters for Boarding Pass endorsement and Baggage Check-in (for passengers with check-in Baggage)

If you are departing from Singapore:
  • For Terminal 2 passengers, please proceed to Row 5 (for First and Business Class Passengers) or Row 9 (for Economy Class Passengers)
  • For Terminal 3 passengers, please proceed to Row 6 (for First and Business Class Passengers) or Row 4 (for Economy Class Passengers)


For all other Stations, please proceed to the respective Singapore Airlines Counter at the Airport.



What happens if my Self-Printed Boarding Pass is defective or cannot be printed?
You will be re-issued a new boarding pass at the airport counter.

Will I be able to print Boarding Passes for codeshare flights?
Singapore Airlines has different codeshare arrangements with various airlines. In some cases, Singapore Airlines operates the codeshare flight and in other cases Singapore Airlines markets the codeshare flights operated by another airline. Internet Check-in can be initiated for codeshare flights operated by Singapore Airlines. Once Internet check-in is successful, you will be able to print your boarding passes.

Am I able to print Boarding Passes for my travelling companions?
You can print Boarding Passes for your traveling companions if your travel companions are included in the same booking record as yours. Like Internet check-in, printing of Boarding Passes is limited to travel parties with a maximum size of 9.

What are the earliest and latest times for printing my boarding pass?
Like Internet check-in, boarding passes can be printed within 48 hours to 2 hours before flight departure.
