Singapore Airlines Cargo Local Undergraduate Scholarship

 
Singapore Airlines Cargo, a wholly owned subsidiary of Singapore Airlines, is one of the top five cargo airlines in the world in terms of international freight tonne-kilometre carriage. It covers a global network of more than 60 cities in more than 30 countries and with more than 600 flights a week, we can fly almost anywhere in the world, anytime.

We are looking for outstanding individuals to develop their capabilities through academic pursuits at a local university.  Upon graduation, you will be given challenging appointments to gain valuable management experience and in-depth insight of a leading global airfreight company. If you perform well, you will have excellent career prospects, and can look forward to overseas postings.

Singapore Airlines Cargo invites applications from Singaporeans and non-Singaporeans who are beginning their University undergraduate education in 2009, or in the case of those serving National Service, in 2010 and 2011.  Those already in a University may also apply. 



Courses:
Any with the exception of Architecture, Biomedical, Biotechnology, Dentistry, Law, Medicine and Pharmacy.

Where tenable:
NUS, NTU, SMU.

Eligibility:
Applicants must have strong academic records in Secondary School and Junior College/International Baccalaureate (IB)/Polytechnic, strong leadership qualities as demonstrated in CCA and National Service (if applicable), and keen interest in the logistics business.

Bond:
Upon completion of studies, scholars are required to serve a bond of 1 year for each year of sponsorship.

Value of Award:
Tuition and hostel fees, a one-off computer allowance, maintenance allowance, plus an annual trip to any point on Singapore Airlines' global network.

Vacation attachments and personal development courses are also provided for the all-rounded development of the individual. 

The scholarship application exercise for 2009 is now closed. The next scholarship exercise will commence in 2010.
