Singapore Airlines Scholarships

 
We are looking for outstanding individuals to continue building Singapore Airlines as an outstanding airline. If you can fly high, you will have great prospects. SIA scholars now hold important and challenging jobs in the parent company or its subsidiaries, in Singapore and overseas, some at Senior Management level.

SIA invites applications from Singapore citizens and Permanent Residents who are beginning their University undergraduate education in 2010, or in the case of those serving National Service, in 2011 and 2012.




Singapore Airlines Open Scholarship
Course:
All courses are considered except Medicine, Dentistry, Pharmacy, Biomedical, Biotechnology and Architecture.

Where tenable:
NUS, NTU, SMU and top universities overseas.

Eligibility:
  • Strong academic records in Secondary School and Junior College/International Baccalaureate (IB)/Polytechnic
  • Strong leadership qualities as demonstrated in CCA and National Service (if applicable)


Condition of Awards:
Successful applicants are required to sign a bond to serve Singapore Airlines for 6 years for the overseas award and 4 years for the local award.

Value of Awards:
  • Local: Tuition and other compulsory fees, maintenance allowance, hostel allowance, a one-off pre-studies allowance, plus an annual trip to any point on  Singapore Airlines’ global network.
  • Overseas: Tuition and other compulsory fees, maintenance allowance, a one-off pre-studies allowance, air passage at beginning and end of course, plus an annual trip to any point on Singapore Airlines’ global network. Singapore Airlines will also reimburse fees for university applications and entrance tests.
  • Both: Vacation attachments to a Singapore Airlines’ office.


The scholarship application exercise for 2010 is now closed. The next scholarship exercise will commence in 2011.

Eligibility:

  • Applicant must be a Muslim Singapore Citizen or Permanent Resident
  • Strong academic records in Secondary School and Junior College/International Baccalaureate (IB)/Polytechnic
  • Strong leadership qualities as demonstrated in CCA and National Service (if applicable)

All courses are considered except Medicine, Dentistry, Pharmacy, Biomedical, Biotechnology and Architecture.

NUS, NTU, SMU and top universities overseas

Eligibility:
  • Applicant or any one parent of applicant, must be a Singapore Citizen or Permanent Resident belonging to an Indian sub ethnic group
  • Strong academic records in Secondary School and Junior College/International Baccalaureate (IB)/Polytechnic
  • Strong leadership qualities as demonstrated in CCA and National Service (if applicable)
