What are My Booking Alerts?

My Booking Alerts is an opt-in service with a suite of flight alerts that customers can choose to have sent automatically to an email address or mobile devices such as mobile phones, message pagers, or iMode phones. These alerts are based on your booked itineraries and update each time you make or modify a booking.

Who can access My Booking Alerts?

Singapore Airlines offers the My Booking Alerts service to PPS Club members, KrisFlyer members, and registered users of the Singapore Airlines' website.

How do I access My Booking Alerts?

To access and subscribe to My Booking Alerts, please log in to the Singapore Airlines' website with your KrisFlyer membership number or User ID and PIN, and click the "My Services" link from any page. Then click the "My Booking Alerts" link that appears in the menu.

Can I update my profile for My Booking Alerts?

Yes, you can update your profile for My Booking Alerts via the Singapore Airlines' website.

What are flight departure alerts?

Flight departure alerts are alerts sent at intervals of 1, 2, and 4 hours prior to flight departure. These alerts inform you of the estimated arrival/scheduled departure time of the flight. You may select any combination of flight departure alerts you desire. For example, select the "4 hours" option if you would like to be alerted of your flight arrival 4 hours prior to its estimated time of arrival or to be alerted of your flight departure 4 hours prior to its scheduled time of departure.

Flight departure alerts can also be sent to nominated individuals in your flight alert profile. In addition, there is the option to have a flight arrival alert sent to these nominated individuals when your flight arrives or a flight departure alert sent to these nominated individuals when your flight departs.

Why are the timings on flight departure alerts different from the actual timing on flight schedules?

The timings on flight alerts are estimated and are accurate as at time of sending. Slight changes in timing will not be reflected. We do apologise for any inconvenience.

How many flight departure alerts can I set up in My Booking Alerts?

You can request for up to a maximum of 30 alerts at any one time.

What are seat waitlist confirmation alerts?

Seat waitlist confirmation alerts are alerts sent to Singapore Airlines' customers who have previously requested to be waitlisted for a particular seat. An alert will be sent to you upon confirmation of your waitlisted seat.

Why did I not receive any seat waitlist confirmation alerts?

You may not have received any seat waitlist confirmation alert, as your waitlisted seat was not confirmed. Please contact your nearest SIA reservation office or your travel agents for more information.

Will I receive alerts for codeshare flights?

Singapore Airlines has different codeshare arrangements with various airlines. In some cases, Singapore Airlines operates the codeshare flight and in other cases Singapore Airlines markets the codeshare flights operated by another airline. Flight alerts will only be sent to you for codeshare flights operated by Singapore Airlines.

Can I have flight alerts sent to my family or friends?

Yes, you can. You can nominate up to two individuals to receive flight arrival and flight departure alerts tagged to your booked itineraries by providing their contact details (mobile number or email address) under Individuals 1 and 2. They will not receive any check-in notification and seat waitlist confirmation alerts which are only for the principal member.

Why do I need to have my passport information in my registered profile?

Immigration and Customs Authorities use this data to ensure the relevant checks are made before you arrive. If the information you have entered is incorrect then it may mean severe delays for you upon arrival. If you have incomplete passport information, your SMS check-in will not be successful.

Will I receive alerts if I decide to change my flight?

Yes, you will. However if you make changes to your My Booking Alerts profile after you have made changes to your flight, the changes will not take effect until your next flight.

Why did I not I receive any alerts?

The following are some likely reasons:
  • You may have forgotten to subscribe for a My Booking Alerts profile.
  • You may have forgotten to indicate that you would like to receive any flight alerts (flight departure, seat waitlist confirmation, check-in notification/confirmation.)
  • You may have provided an invalid mobile number or email address.
  • You may have forgotten to provide, or your travel agent may not have entered, your PPS Club or KrisFlyer membership number when your reservation was made. Please contact your nearest SIA reservations office or your travel agent to add your PPS Club or KrisFlyer membership number in your booking, and proceed to do an Internet check-in at the Singapore Airlines' website. Alternatively, you may proceed directly to the airport to complete your check-in procedures.
  • You may have forgotten to register when you made your booking on the Internet. Please proceed directly to the airport to complete your check-in procedures.
  • You may have multiple bookings in our reservations system. Please contact your nearest SIA reservations office or your travel agent to confirm your intended booking and cancel your duplicate bookings.
  • You may have made changes to your booked itinerary within 48 hours of flight departure.
  • You may have made changes to your My Booking Alerts profile within 48 hours of flight departure.
  • You may have requested to travel as an unaccompanied minor or young person travelling alone, or you have indicated certain medical needs in your reservation. Due to the special servicing you require, please proceed directly to the airport to complete your check-in procedures.
  • You are an online registered user and you have made amendments to your booking through non-Internet channels. Please proceed directly to the airport to check in.
  • There are occasional instances whereby last minute changes to our flights have to be made. Hence you will receive the check-in notification slightly later. Please wait for a while or check in at the airport.
  • The SMS gateway which is operated by a third party vendor may be down. Please proceed to the airport to complete your check-in procedures.


What does it mean when I subscribe for My Booking Alerts?

Select this option if you would like to receive any of the alerts (flight departure, seat waitlist confirmation, check-in notification/confirmation) indicated below. All alerts selected on your flight alerts profile will be tagged to all your bookings (if you are a PPS Club or KrisFlyer member) and your bookings on www.singaporeair.com (if you are a registered user on www.singaporeair.com.) For PPS Club and KrisFlyer members, please remember to quote your membership number when making any booking. This is to ensure that you receive your preferred alerts. If you are a registered user on www.singaporeair.com, please remember to log in every time you make a booking on www.singaporeair.com to ensure that you receive your selected alerts.

What does it mean when I unsubscribe from My Booking Alerts?

Select this option if you do not wish to receive any flight alerts, which are tagged to your bookings.

In what languages can I receive alerts?

For most countries, alerts are available in English only. For users in Japan, alerts may be received in English or in Japanese. To receive alerts in Japanese, select this option during the set up process.
