What is a child fare?
This is a special fare that applies to children between the ages of 2 through 11 on the date of departure. Hence a booking made before a child's 12th birthday for departure on or after this day will no longer be eligible for the child fares. In most cases, children are usually charged a percentage of the applicable adult fare.

What taxes or auxiliary travel charges do I need to pay?
Airport and auxiliary travel charges apply to all tickets. They are set by government authorities or airport operators at arrival and departure points. These taxes and auxiliary charges may be included in the fares or shown separately. You may also be required to pay additional taxes or auxiliary travel charges not marked on your ticket.

How do I view fares for multiple passengers?
To view fares for multiple passengers:
  1. Select the total number of adult and/or child passengers.
  2. Click ‘Show Availability’ to search for flights.
  3. Select your preferred flight(s).
  4. The fares for each adult and each child will be displayed, together with the total fare calculated for the number of passengers you had initially selected.

Please note that if an adult and a child are on the same booking and you select the ‘Find low prices with flexible dates’ option, only the adult fare is quoted on the Calendar page. Both adult(s) and child(ren) fares are shown on the Flights page.

Why is the fare quoted higher than that from my travel agent?
Singapore Airlines online booking offers a variety of fare levels for the same itinerary with different restrictions for travel. From time to time, we will also launch special promotions at attractive fares. When there are no longer seats available for these special Internet fares, the system may offer you an unrestricted published fare that has minimal or no restrictions on travel dates, purchase dates, etc. Such published fares are usually at a higher level.

What are published/normal fares?
Published fares, also known as normal fares, are fares that have minimal or no restrictions on travel dates, minimum and maximum stays, and so on. Due to the flexibility of such fares, they are usually priced higher than the fares normally offered and advertised. Such advertised fares have their own restrictions and are thus less flexible and priced lower than published fares.

Why are certain fares quoted for interline bookings so high?
The fare for interline bookings takes into account the amount that Singapore Airlines is billed by the partner airline for carrying our passengers.

Why are there no special Internet fares for my itinerary?
Internet fares can be found on popular itineraries and promotional routes. There may be several reasons why you are unable to obtain a special Internet fare for your itinerary:
  • No special Internet fare has been filed for that itinerary
  • Seats for special Internet fares have been sold out
  • The travel date is not within the duration specified for promotional fares
