About My PPS Club Membership

PPS Club membership will be yours when you accrue a PPS Value of at least S$25,000 within a 12-month period in First or Business Class on Singapore Airlines and/or SilkAir.

While KrisFlyer is the frequent flyer programme of Singapore Airlines, the PPS Club is an exclusive recognition programme for our customers who travel frequently in First and Business Class on Singapore Airlines and SilkAir.

The PPS Value you accrue is only applicable for PPS Club membership qualification and renewal.

You will continue to earn frequent flyer miles, which can then be credited to your KrisFlyer account or our partner airlines’ frequent flyer programme.



If your Solitaire PPS Club membership is not renewed at the end of your current membership year, you will qualify for PPS Club membership instead for a year. You will re-qualify for Solitaire PPS Club membership once your PPS Value is S$25,000, achieved anytime during the 12 months of your PPS Club membership.

If your PPS Club membership is not renewed at the end of your current membership year, you will qualify for either KrisFlyer Elite Gold or Elite Silver membership, depending on the KrisFlyer Eilite tier that you currently have.
Your cumulative PPS Value, which is only used to track towards Solitaire PPS Club membership, will have no application when you are not a PPS Club member.

A cumulative PPS Value of S$250,000 within five consecutive years of PPS Club membership will then be required to re-qualify for Solitaire PPS Club membership.

 



You can check your accrued PPS Value online at www.krisflyer.com by logging in here with your membership number and PIN.

For PPS Club and Solitaire PPS Club members, the amount reflected online will be the PPS Value from your travel in your current membership year.

If you are a KrisFlyer member tracking towards PPS Club membership qualification, the PPS Value accrued in the last 12 months will be available for you to view.


The PPS Value will be available online for you to view within two weeks of your travel.  All you have to do is login to www.krisflyer.com with your membership number and PIN, and click on ‘My Account’.

The PPS Value will be derived from the revenue earned by Singapore Airlines and SilkAir from your ticket(s) for travel on First and Business Class on both airlines. The value that will be credited to your account does not include various taxes, fees and surcharges.

For the majority of tickets, the amount that will be credited is reflected in the fare box* on the ticket, as shown in the example below. If your tickets are purchased outside of Singapore, your value credit will based on the amount paid in the local currency, converted to Singapore dollars, using the International Air Transport Association’s monthly rate.

The rate used will be based on IATA’s exchange rate at the month of ticketing.






Due to regulatory requirements or local market practices in some countries, notably in Asia Pacific and Europe, the amount shown in the ticket fare box is not reflective of the actual amount paid or does not reflect any fare value at all.

For tickets purchased in these countries, the PPS Value credited to members will be a fair value approximating the actual amount paid for the tickets. Please click here to view the list of countries where the exceptions would apply.

The various fees and taxes are normally collected on behalf of government agencies and are not included in the revenue earned by Singapore Airlines. These fees and taxes are therefore not included in the PPS Value credited to members.

Fuel surcharge was also not taken into consideration in determining the PPS Value for membership qualification and renewal criteria. The main consideration in excluding fuel surcharge from the PPS Value credit is because fuel surcharge is dependent on market conditions and is expected to fluctuate. By excluding this variable component, the PPS Value criteria for qualification and renewal can then be set at a fixed value.


The process on claims for missing PPS Value credits remains the same as the retroactive mileage claim procedure today. Retro-claims can be submitted at www.krisflyer.com when you login to ‘My Account’ with your membership number and PIN and click on ‘Statements’ followed by ‘Retroactive Mileage Claim’.

When you travel on a codeshare flight (in First or Business Class), you will accrue PPS Value only if the codeshare flight is operated by Singapore Airlines or SilkAir (that is, the flight is on a Singapore Airlines or SilkAir aircraft) and has a KrisFlyer partner airline’s flight number.

Use of the SilverKris Lounge is only applicable to travel in Business and First Class on codeshare flights operated by Singapore Airlines or SilkAir (that is, the flight is on a Singapore Airlines or SilkAir aircraft).

The PPS Value will only be credited for flights on the Singapore Airlines/SilkAir segments. For instance, for a Singapore-Frankfurt-Munich flight, the PPS Value will only be credited for the Singapore-Frankfurt sector, as that is the flight segment operated by Singapore Airlines.

Your KrisFlyer account will not be affected. You will be able to see 3 different sets of information in your account statements online - KrisFlyer miles, Elite miles and PPS Value.

You will earn KrisFlyer miles when you travel on a mileage accruable fare on Singapore Airlines or one of our partner airlines, or use the services of our non-air partners. These KrisFlyer miles can then be redeemed for award tickets on Singapore Airlines or any of our partner airlines, or for flight upgrades on Singapore Airlines, SilkAir and selected Star Alliance carriers.

Elite miles are miles earned from travels on Singapore Airlines, SilkAir and Star Alliance carriers and they are applicable for Elite tier qualification/renewal in the KrisFlyer programme only.

PPS Value will be reflected in your account when you travel First or Business Class on Singapore Airlines or SilkAir. This PPS Value will be applicable for PPS Club qualification and renewal only.


The mechanism for renewal has not changed.
The renewal criteria for PPS Club membership is a PPS Value of at least S$25,000 within the membership year.  Membership will only be renewed at the end of the membership year. Also, the PPS Value that is in excess of S$25,000 does not count towards membership renewal in the next membership year.

Your current membership year as on 1 September07 is counted as your first year in the count of maximum 5 consecutive years.
The cumulative PPS Value you have in the next 4 uninterrupted PPS Club membership years will be tracked for Solitaire membership qualification.
As soon as you have a cumulative PPS Value of S$250,000 within these 5 consecutive years, your membership will be upgraded to Solitaire.

I have re-qualified for PPS Club membership based on the old PPS Miles or PPS sector criteria before 1 Sept 2007 in my current membership year. How do I know if indeed my membership will be renewed for another year?
All you  need to do is log in at My Account and click on Statements. The row marked “Additional PPS Value required for PPS Club requalification”  should have "0" PPS Value.

I have re-qualified for Solitaire PPS Club membership based on the old PPS Miles or PPS sector criteria before 1 Sept 2007 in my current membership year. How do I know if indeed my membership will be renewed for another year?

Why is the expiry date on my membership card different from my membership expiry date when I check my account online?
A PPS Club membership period is for 12 months and that is reflected in your account statement.
The expiry date on your membership card is 1 month after the end of your membership period so that you will not be inconvenienced by holding an expired card before a new one is received. You will continue to enjoy the privileges of PPS Club membership for 1 month after the end of your current membership period/year.
