Redemption Enhancements to the KrisFlyer Programme

From 29 September 2008, enhancements to KrisFlyer redemption offer you greater flexibility, value and convenience in redeeming your KrisFlyer miles for award tickets.

More seats available with a new award type
With the introduction of a new award type – Full award, we now offer three award types for redemption. As a result, you can enjoy greater value by mixing and matching the various award types and different classes of travel.

Saver award
Saver award is offered in Economy, Business and First Class on most aircraft types, and requires fewer KrisFlyer miles as compared to Full and Standard awards. Saver award provides for one free stopover per round-trip and a ticket validity of 6 months. As Saver awards are very popular, availability may be limited and some restrictions may apply.
There is no change to the number of miles required to redeem for a round-trip Saver award.

Standard award
The unrestricted award has been named Standard award. Standard award provides a greater selection of seats on all flights than Saver award, extended ticket validity of 12 months and two free stopovers per round-trip, giving you the extra flexibility.

Full award
The Full award is the new award type that provides you with access to more redemption seats when redeeming your miles, especially on popular flights and during peak periods.
You also enjoy two free stopovers per round-trip and extended ticket validity of 12 months when you travel on a Full award ticket.

All three award types are available for redemption on Singapore Airlines flights only. For redemption on SilkAir flights, only the Saver award is available.

Redeem one-way award tickets with fewer miles
When you redeem your miles for a one-way award ticket, you need only 50% of the number of miles required for a round-trip award ticket (instead of the previous 70%).

As a result, you now save up to 28% on the number of miles required when you redeem for a one-way Saver or Standard award ticket.

A more user-friendly experience with Online Redemption Booking
With the improved Online Redemption Booking feature, all you need to do is indicate your preferred destination and class of travel, and select from an array of available award types. What’s more, you will continue to enjoy a 15% saving when you redeem your miles at krisflyer.com

Please note that the enhanced redemption levels are only applicable for redemption bookings that are ticketed from 29 September 2008.
