Miles must be purchased in blocks of 1,000 miles, with a minimum purchase of 1,000 miles. The price per block of 1,000 miles is US$40 or the local currency equivalent.

*The usual terms and condition for purchase of miles apply.

For an itinerary with different discounts for the travel sectors involved :

• the sectors must be booked separately.
• For example, to book an Economy Saver award ticket for travel in May 09 from Melbourne to London (SQ318), 2 separate bookings must be made: Melbourne to Singapore (25% discount) and Singapore to London on SQ318 (50% discount).  If you choose to make only one online redemption booking for the entire itinerary above, then only the 25% discount applies for the entire booking.

For an itinerary with different awards types (ie Saver, Standard, Full) :

• Separate bookings must be made for each sector. 
• For example, you will need to make 1 booking for Singapore to Penang on Standard award (25% discount) and another booking for Penang to Singapore on Saver award (50% discount) for travel in the month of April 2009. If only one booking is made for a round trip for travel between Singapore and Penang, then only the 25% discount will apply for the entire booking.

For an itinerary with different cabin classes :

• Separate bookings must be made for each cabin class
• For example, 2 separate bookings must be made to travel from Singapore to Mumbai with an Economy Saver award and Mumbai to Singapore  in Business Class Saver.

For an itinerary with sectors on Singapore Airlines and SilkAir :

• Separate bookings must be made for each sector.
• For example, 2 separate bookings must be made to travel from Sydney to Phuket, ie one for travel between Sydney and Singapore on Singapore Airlines, and another for travel between Singapore and Phuket on SilkAir.

For an itinerary with flight sectors that are within and outside the promotional travel period :

• Separate bookings must be made for the sectors or the itinerary will not receive the promotional discount.
• For example, a one-way booking must be made for travel from Singapore to Los Angeles on 30 September (25% promotional discount) and another one-way booking for travel from Los Angeles to Singapore on 5 October (the regular 15% discount).

• The 25% discount is applicable only for online redemption bookings made on singaporeair.com between 1 February and 15 September 2009.
• For award tickets on 25% discount, the valid travel period is from 1 March 2009 to 30 September 2009.  Travel must be completed by 30 September 2009.
• For award tickets on 50% discount, travel must commence and be completed according to the respective promotional travel periods as stated in the tables provided. 
• The 25% or 50% discount is inclusive of the usual 15% online redemption discount for Singapore Airlines and SilkAir award tickets on singaporeair.com.
• On Singapore Airlines, the 50% discount is valid for all online redemptions of all awards types on selected flights according to the respective promotional travel periods as stated in the table provided. 
• On SilkAir, the 50% discount is only valid for online redemption of Economy Saver awards on selected flights according to the respective promotional travel periods as stated in the table provided. The 50% discount is not valid for redemption of flight upgrades.
• Only Standard and Full awards are available for redemption in First and Business Class on B777-300ER flights.
  On B777-300 flights with the same First Class seats that are fitted on B777-300ER flights, only Standard and Full awards are available for redemption in First Class.
  Only Standard and Full awards are available for redemption of flights on the all-Business Class A340-500.
  On the A380, only Standard and Full awards are available for redemption in Business Class.
  No redemption is available for travel in the Singapore Airlines Suites.
• The 25% discount for redemption of flights upgrades from Economy Class to Business Class is only valid for commercial tickets purchased in S, Y, B, E fare classes on Singapore Airlines and Y, B, E fare classes on SilkAir.
• The 50% discount for redemption of flights upgrades from Economy Class to Business Class is only valid for commercial tickets purchased in S, Y, B, E fare classes on Singapore Airlines.
• Only Standard and Full upgrade awards are available for redemption on B777-300ER flights.
  For redemption of upgrades from Business to First Class on B777-300 flights with the same First Class seats that are fitted on B777-300ER flights, only Standard and Full awards are available.
  Only Standard and Full awards for upgrade from Economy to Business are available for redemption on A380 flights.  No upgrade redemption is avaialble for the Suites on the Singapore Airlines A380.
• The discounts are applicable to one-way and round-trip award redemptions online.
• The discounts are applicable only on the number of miles required for an award ticket. Taxes, surcharges and fees are charged separately and are not subject any discount.
• Not valid with any other discount and promotion.
• All ticket redemptions are subject to seat availability at time of booking.
• Cancellations and flight changes are subject to the usual fees.
• For redemption bookings : changes to an award flight booked before 1 February that result in the booking of an  award flight within the promotional travel period and changes to an award flight booked within the promotional period that result in an award flight that will take place outside of the promotional travel period, will not enjoy the promotional redemption discount; the original booking must be cancelled and a new booking made instead.
• For promotional upgrade redemptions : changes to the commercial flight for which the promotional upgrade was redeemed, that result in a commercial flight that takes place outside of the promotional travel period will not enjoy the promotional upgrade redemption discount.
• Purchased miles must be redeemed immediately.
• Purchased miles are non-refundable. In the case where miles from a completely unused award ticket are redeposited into a members account, any purchased miles will not be refunded and will be deemed void. 
• Normal KrisFlyer, Singapore Airlines and SilkAir terms and conditions apply. Singapore Airlines reserves the right to change the discount level, eligible destinations, flight numbers and travel dates, without prior notice.
