Singapore Airlines Early Bird Price Undertaking

Purchase a Singapore Airlines Economy Class European Earlybird airfare and should Singapore Airlines release a lower fare in 2010 for travel to the same destination within the same travel period, Singapore Airlines will reissue your ticket to the lower fare and refund the difference without penalty.

Terms and Conditions

This Price Undertaking is only valid for Singapore Airlines retail (i.e. not holiday package airfares) Economy Class European Earlybird air fares sold, purchased and ticketed within Australia between 26 October 2009 and 05 January 2010 for departures from Australia to any of Singapore Airlines 13 online European destinations between 01 April 2010 and 30 November 2010.
The Price Undertaking only applies to flights operated by Singapore Airlines with a flight number beginning with SQ. The original ticket must have been issued on Singapore Airlines ticket stock, which starts with 618.
For the purpose of calculating the fare difference, the fare inclusive of associated taxes, levies and surcharges including credit card service fee will be included. Any changes to the taxes, levies and surcharges as a result of currency fluctuations, or changes to government, regulatory authority or airport operator’s taxes, levies or surcharges, will not be taken into account when determining the fare difference. Agent commissions or any service fees/charges that might have been levied for purchasing a ticket at a travel agency will not be taken into account when determining the fare difference. All calculations are based in AUD.
The comparable Singapore Airlines lower airfare must be available and identical to the exact route and departing and arriving at the same airports. Flight and date changes from the original will be allowed subject to the lower fare being available and subject to travel departing within the same seasonality.
Once the ticket has been reissued all fare conditions associated with the new fare shall apply.
Discounted group fares, corporate fares, holiday package fares, KrisFlyer redemption fares, travel industry discounted fares and private closed user group fares are excluded from the Earlybird Price Undertaking.
Tickets will not be fully refunded. Only the difference between the fare paid and the value of the new fare, excluding agent commissions, will be refunded without penalty. Refunds will be processed according to the original form of payment. Should you wish to apply for a full refund, standard cancellation fees associated with the fare will apply.
Claims must be made through your original booking agent. Claims must be made during the sale and ticketing period of the lower fare. Claims made outside the sale and ticketing period of the lower fare will not be accepted. Claims must be made at least 14 days prior to the original flight departure. Claims made within 14 days of the original flight departure will not be accepted (Exception: where the lower fare is released within 14 days of your original flight departure). Claims cannot be made after travel has commenced. No retrospective claims will be considered.
