Singapore Stopover Holidays


Programme Options / General note

  • BSSH - Basic Singapore Stopover Holiday (Hotel + Transfers only)

SSH/BSSH programme is handled by "Tradewinds Tours & Travel" ("Tradewinds"), a subsidiary of Singapore Airlines



Booking procedures for Travel Agent CRS
1a. Eligibility rules applicable to SSH & BSSH
Business rules validations are automatically imposed in the SSH & BSSH system. They are:
- Singapore MUST NOT be the origin city
- Sector that is flown into and out of Singapore must be either SQ operating or MI operating flights
- Ticket is not an industry discount/rebate/free ticket
- The number of rooms booked within the same period must not exceed the number of passengers in PNR.
- Interline booking except MI is not allowed
- Purchase is restricted to confirmed seats

1b. Eligibility rules applicable to SSH only
- Other than the country of origin, travel has to be routed to another point beyond Singapore within a single PNR. SSH will not be processed for conjunction flight bookings.

The system checks for SSH & BSSH eligibility rules. If business rules fail and there are format errors, you will receive error response messages.

2. Cut-off for SSH/BSSH booking
Bookings can be made up to 72hours before passenger check-in at the hotel.

3. Hotel & Number Codes
Hotel names MUST be spelt in accordance with list shown below. The system will reject the booking in the event of a typo-error for hotel name. Even the space in between names is checked. For e.g. "Furama River Front" (there must be space between the words). To overcome the problem of mis-spelt names and the limitations of character space, we suggest hotel names be replaced by hotel number codes (refer table below). For e.g. "XS1402"

5. Character space in the hotel segment
The maximum number of characters to use in a SSH hotel segment after room type with hyphen should not exceed 32 characters. If the hotel segment rusn to the next lin the remarks in the free text field will not be captured. Due to limitation of character space, we encourage you to use short terms for such requests such as private car transfer and smoking.

6. Prepaid items
Prepaid and requets items are to be entered in the free text field of the hotel segment. Please refer to the suggested short terms above.
6.1 Booking of Private Transfers
Please indicate PTE TRF in the opt free format field
Note: Combi (maximum seat capacity is 4 persons) is arranged for private vehicle transfers. Please do not commit private car.
6.2 Booking  of Wheechair Transfer and Handicap Room
Handicap rooms and wheelchair transfers are purely on request due to the limitation. Such request bookings CANNOT be processed through the respective GDS systems. Please contact our Operator "Tradewinds" directly via email, indicating SQ PNR reference, name of hotel and in/out date.

For passengers with wheelchair (either motorised or non-motorised), it is strongly recommended to arrange private transfers with ramp or without ramp access as seat-in-coach transfer is not convenient.
6.3 Prepaid early checkin
Guaranteed early check-in requires a booking of one night prior to arrival. For eg book from 10Apr for early checin on 11Apr 0700hrs.
Please indicate PREPAID EARLY C/I in the free format field.
6.4 Prepaid late checkout
Additional charges are applicable for late checkout till 6pm or till departure.
Example of booking for pre-paid late checkout till 6pm, please indicate PREPAID LATE C/O TILL 6PM in the free format field.
6.5 Special room requests
Room related requests like non-smoking, high/low floor, interconnecting room are strictly on request basis subject to hotel's availability upon checkin. Example of smoking room request, please indicate RQ SMKG RM in the opt free format field.

7. Triple room bookings - hotel not available
Please take note that triple-share rooms are NOT available at Hotel Re! @ Pearl's Hill, Ibis, Gallery Hotel, Link Hotel, Grand Plaza Park City Hall, Park Hotel @ Clarke Quay, Rendezvous Hotel Singapore, Shangri-la Singapore.

8. Child bookings
Please do not book as triple-sharing for child as this will affect hotel billing. The correct entries for child bookings are as follows:
- For 2 Adults 1 Child (2A1C), please indicate PLUS 1CXB in the opt free format field
- For 2 Adults 2 Children (2A2C), please indicate PLUS 1CXB 1CNB in the opt free format field
8.1 Hotels not applicable for 2A1C and 2A2C
Please do not book TWNB PLUS 1CXB in hotels which do not offer triple-share-rooms. Refer to paragraph 7 above.

9. Expiry of Ticketing Time Limit (TTL) / Divide PNR
In a situation when ticketing time limit has expired, any previously confirmed reservation MUST be rebooked in the new PNR. When dividing PNR, please do indicate the "TCP with J12345 (PNR)" in the free text field of the hotel segment, else the information will not be captured in the hotel rooming list and the TCP passenger will encounter problem upon checkin.

10. Multiple hotel segments within the same PNR
If one of the hotel segment fails the SSH/BSSH eligibility rule, the system will process the hotel segment which satisfy the business rule and reject the one that fails.

12. vMPD issuance
12.1 vMPD (BSP-link) / vMCO (CRS)
Please note, that Agents based in Switzerland/Liechtenstein are required to issue a vMPD (BSP-link).  Most of the Touroperators/Ticketbrokers are eligible to issue vMPD. vMCO (CRS) will not be accepted.
12.2 Indication of vMPD number in OSI facts field
All passengers MUST be issued with the vMPD before arrival into Singapore. Additionally, the vMPD number MUST be indicated in the OSI facts field of the PNR. Please also do enter the amount.
Example:
- Amadeus: OS SQ VCHR SSH 618111122333 (space required between "SQ", "VCHR" and "SSH").
- Galileo: SI.SQ*VCHR SSH 618111122333
- Sabre: 3OSI SQ VCHR SSH 618111122333
- Worldspan: 3OSI SQ VCHR SSH 618111122333
Note: only keywords "MPD", "MCO" or "VCHR" are accepted.

13. Frequently encountered booking problems/format errors
Please make sure to enter the correct formats:
Date: wrong entry 6APR / 06APR07 - correct entry 06APR
Room type: wrong entry SGL / TWN / TRP - correct entry SGLB / TWNB / TRPB
Hotel name: see paragraph 3. above and table below

14. Synchronisation / Direct Access retrieval
There are instances where the status of the hotel segments in SQ system and CRS are not in synchronisation. You can use the direct access PNR retrieval function to check the booking status:
Galileo:
Entry Step 1: @@SQ/VIEWPNR (To toggle from Galileo system to SQ system)
Entry Step 2: *J12345 (To display SQ Vendor Locator in SQ system)
Entry Step 3: @@1G (To exit SQ system and auto toggle back to Galileo)

Amadeus:
