Seat Requests

Business and First Class: Specific seat selection is available at the time of booking on all SQ flights, except those between SIN and KUL, as well as on all flights operated by MI. Kindly pull up the seat map for the flights and assign the actual seat numbers for the passenger.

Waitlist for specific seat for PPS- and Solitaire-Members, travelling in Business or First Class:
Should the prefered seat not be available at time of booking, please assign an alternative seat and send the PNR with the desired seat number to: zrh_waitlist@singaporeair.com.sg

Economy Class: Generic seat request can be indicated in the booking on all SQ flights, except those between SIN and KUL, as well as on all flights operated by MI.

Types of generic seat requests:

  • NSSW = non smoking seat window
  • NSSA = non smoking seat aisle
  • NSST = non smoking seat*
  • NSSB = non smoking seat bulkhead
  • BSCT = bassinet

* NSST entry is not required, in case PNR does contain several passengers. please indicate applicable entry for window/aisle only, as the other passenger(s) automatically  will be seated next to the other passenger(s).
e.g. 3-seater - PNR containing 3 passengers: 1st passenger NSSW, 2nd passenger NSSA, 3rd passenger no entry required // 4-seater - PNR containing 4 passengers: 1st and 2nd passenger NSSA, 3rd and 4th passenger no entry required.

Please note, that generic seats are not guaranteed and may remain pending in your PNR. Investigation for confirmation is not required. All requests are on a first come-first serve basis.

  • Emergency seats (Preferred Seat Selection): These seats can be purchased on www.singaporeair.com, regardless whether the booking has been made on www.singaporeair.com,  through a travel agent or a Singapore Airlines Office.

    Kindly take note of the following:
    - Passenger must purchase Preferred Seat by using his credit card. Payment by Travel Agent credit card or vMPD/vMCO is not possible.
    - Preferred Seats can only be purchased on www.singaporeair.com. It is not possible to request these seats through CRS
    - Booking must be ticketed on plate of SQ (618)
    - Booking must be ticketed
    - Waitlisted segments are not allowed
    - Group bookings are not possible
    - For the retrieval of the PNR through "My Booking" tab, SQ vendor locator or SQ ticketnumber must be used.
    - Preferred Seat amount paid by the customer is non-commissionable to travel agents.

  • Bassinet: seat request should be related to passenger (mother), who is traveling with the infant.
    Bassinet dimensions: 76cm  x 29cm x 20cm  and can support a maximum weight of 14kg.
  • More legroom: no specific seats are available for more legroom. we recommend to book an aisleseat.
    A medical certificate does not entitle for specific and/or guaranteed seat assignement.
  • To Complete Party (TCP): please indicate the TCP, passenger and segment related in the OSI field of each PNR.
  • Wheelchairs: passengers who need assistance can only be seated on the main-deck of B747 aircraft.
