1. Barcelona Airport
Barcelona Airport is situated 13kms southwest from the city, in the area of “El Prat de Llobregat”.

You can access either by:
  • Car:
    The route from Barcelona city center to the airport is about 25 to 30 minutes, depending on the traffic.
  • Taxi:
    If you come from the city center, the route cost will be around 25 euros. There is a surcharge to travel from or to the airport and for luggage. The fare can be checked in the taxi.
  • Train:
    All trains from the city to the airport come from “Sants”, “Paseo de Gracia” and “Francia” station. It takes 25 minutes and there are trains every 30 minutes.
  • Bus:

2. Security

3. Check in
The check in counters for Singapore Airlines open daily at 6:55am and close 40 minutes before departure. There are 5 check-in counters, which provide services to the 3 classes of the flight.

The check in counter 52 is dedicated for the 1st class passengers, the check-in counter 53 dedicated to Business class and the check-in counter 54 to 56 are for Economy class. We would like to remind passengers paying by credit card that the card and Proof of identity will be requested at the time of checking.

If the credit card used for the payment cannot be shown at the time of checking, a new credit card will be requested as guarantee. If any of these can be provided, boarding will be denied.

You should choose this option, it will be necessary to contact the check in counter at least 90 minutes before departure, in order to reconfirm the boarding pass and to drop off your luggage.

Electronic ticket:
All passengers holding an electronic ticket have to contact the check in counter in order to get the boarding pass.

Passenger with specific requirements:
Passengers, who have previously requested special assistance at the moment of booking like escorting unaccompanied minors, are requested to notify this at the check-in counter.
Children with less than two years may request a bassinet. The bassinet needs to be booked to a travel agency before departure, for a good guaranty of this service.

4. Luggage
The baggage allowance is 20 kg for Economy class, 30 kg for business class and 40 kg for first class.
One piece of hand baggage is allowed for passengers in Economy class and two pieces of baggage for business and first class. The sum of the dimensions, (length, depth, height) should not either exceed 115cm nor 7 kg.
Only one piece of hand baggage can be carried on board due to safety reasons and to assure the comfort of our passengers.
This rule will apply for PPS and Star Alliance member when traveling in Economy class.

5. Tax Refund
The tax refund desk is located in terminal A close to the arrival doors.
Those passengers, who need any tax refund, have to do it before checking the luggage. 

6. Passport
For most Singapore Airlines destinations, it is necessary to have a passport with more than 6 months of validity upon arrival. We recommend you to verify the specific visa requirements for your destination. Those passengers traveling to Australia have to get their Visa before the departure since Visas can not be arranged on arrival. For more information about different Visas check:
