Terms & Conditions of Entry
New Zealand Singapore Airlines’ UK/Europe EarlyBird Upgrade to Business Class Competition

The following are the official terms and conditions for the Singapore Airlines’ UK/Europe Upgrade to Business Class Competition on singaporeair.com/nz. Singapore Airlines’ UK/Europe Upgrade to Business Class Competition shall be referred to as the “Promotion” in the following Terms & Conditions. Online bookings for Economy Class UK/Europe Earlybird return tickets made between 13 October 2007 and 14 December 2007 (inclusive) will be automatically entered into the Competition.

You must be aged 18 years or over to enter.. Employees of Singapore Airlines Limited and its subsidiaries, advertising and promotions agencies connected with this draw and the immediate families of such employees are not eligible to enter. The prize cannot be redeemed for cash, exchanged or transferred.

All participants shall be bound by the following terms and conditions and all amendments, additions, replacements and modifications hereto as may be made from time to time at the sole discretion of Singapore Airlines Limited. The Organizers of the Promotion are Singapore Airlines Limited (Singapore Airlines), West Plaza Building, cnr Albert & Fanshawe Sts, PO Box 4290, Auckland, New Zealand.

Eligibility
1. The participants are required to purchase an Economy Class return UK/Europe EarlyBird commercial ticket on Singapore Airlines website in order to participate in the Promotion.

2. The draw is only eligible for UK/Europe EarlyBird return Economy Class bookings with the origin belonging to New Zealand (departing from Auckland, Christchurch or Wellington) and the destination being one of Amsterdam, Athens, Barcelona, Cairo, Copenhagen, Frankfurt, Istanbul, London, Manchester, Milan, Moscow, Paris, Rome, or Zurich (open jaw permitted). Ticketing must be made between 13 October and 14 December 2007 on singaporeair.com/nz.
 
3. Each booking is only eligible for one chance.

4. Customers are required to present proof of purchase (ticket/boarding pass/booking confirmation email) in order to claim the prize.

General Rules and Regulations
1. Information on how to enter this Promotion forms part of these conditions of entry, wherever they may appear.

2. All eligible customers will be automatically entered into the Promotion by successfully completing the required online booking on the Singapore Airlines website. Each successful completion of the online booking will entitle the eligible participant to one chance in the lucky draw.

3. There will be only two winners for this Promotion.

4. The Organizer reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to disqualify any person found violating these rules and regulations or the Terms and Conditions of Use of the Singapore Airlines' Web Sites or otherwise tampering with the Organizer's web sites or the operation thereof.

5. The draw of the winners will take place on 20 December 2007.

6. The winners will be drawn from the names of all passengers who are eligible to participate in the draw. The selection of the winners shall be absolute and final. No correspondence, queries or appeals shall be entertained with regard to any aspect of this Promotion.

7. The winner shall be notified by e-mail and/or telephone with the contact information provided in the booking. The name(s) of the winner(s) will also be published on singaporeair.com/nz.

8. Prizes must be collected from the Singapore Airlines Office within 30 days from the date of email notification to the winner, failing which the winners shall forfeit the prize.

9. The winner whose prize has been forfeited is not entitled to any compensation notwithstanding non-receipt of notification.

Prizes
1. A total of 2 winners will be drawn for the Singapore Airlines UK/Europe EarlyBird Upgrade to Business Class Competition.

2. The winners of the UK/Europe EarlyBird Upgrade to Business Class Competition will receive upgrades to Business Class for their Earlybird to UK/Europe travel in 2008, exclusive of any applicable taxes such as local departure tax, government fees and other airport taxes that may occur due to the upgrade.

3. If you are travelling with a partner on the same booking and are the first selected prizewinner at the time your name is drawn, your partner will awarded the second upgrade.

4. The winners will not receive the 5000 bonus KrisFlyer miles applicable to Economy Class tickets. However, as a Business Class traveller you will earn 125% of Economy Class miles for the corresponding journey, thereby qualifying you for a redemption flight to Australia, the Pacific Islands (excl. Honolulu) or within New Zealand as advertised for the UK/Europe EarlyBird campaign.

5. The tickets will be valid for travel from 01 February 2008 to 30 November 2008 as per the EarlyBird to UK/Europe conditions. Upgrades to Business Class may not be available on the originally selected flights. Reservations for flights must be made prior to usage of the prizes, which is subject to availability at the time of request for use. The winner(s) must produce the necessary identification during reservations.

6. No stopovers are allowed en-route except for Singapore.

7. The winners must ensure that they have valid travel documents during their travel.

8. No change in travel arrangements can be made once the booking is confirmed.

9. The Organizer will not be responsible for transfers to and from the prizewinner’s location to the applicable airport(s), nor will the Organizers be responsible for any transfers within the winners’ destination of choice. The Organizer will also not be responsible for hotel accommodation, meals, spending money, tours entertainment and any other expenses that the winners may incur during their travel.

10. Prizes are non-negotiable, non-transferable, non-refundable and not exchangeable for cash credit or kind, either in part or in full except at the sole discretion of the Organizer. Prizes cannot be sold or bartered. The Organizer reserves the right to substitute any of the prizes with prizes of a similar value or nature. The substituted prizes may be subject to conditions.

11. All government, federal, state and local taxes and duties on the prizes won, customs and immigration fees, airport taxes, visa fees, insurance, gratuities, any fees imposed by any relevant governments and authorities, and other expenses of a personal nature are the sole responsibility of the winners.

Limitation of Liability
1. The Organizer shall not be liable for any and all other costs, charges, expenses, taxes etc incurred in relation to the above all of which are to be borne by the participant personally including, without limitation, the registration fees, airtime, ISP connection costs, etc.

2. The Organizer shall not be liable in any way to any customer for any loss or damage arising in connection with the Promotion and shall not be responsible for lost, late, incomplete, mutilated or misdirected bookings, howsoever caused, or for bookings received after the Promotion Period as a consequence of any delay, interruption or failure in telephone or internet services.

3. The Organizer does not assume any responsibility for incorrect or inaccurate capture of entrants' information. This will include but not limited to technical malfunctions, human or technical error, seeding or printing errors, lost/delayed/garbled data or transmissions, omission, interruption, deletion, defect or failures of: any telephone or computer line or network, computer equipment, software or any combination thereof.

4. The Organizer shall have no liability in respect of or in relation to any of the prizes or the participation by any person in the Promotion. The participant agrees to indemnify the Organizer, its employees and agents from and against any action, claim, loss or liability incurred in connection with his or her participation in the Promotion, including the claiming of any prize.

5. By accepting the prizes, the winners agree to hold harmless and release the Organizer, its respective directors, officers, employees, agents, contractors, principal sponsors and assigns, against any and all claims and liability arising out of use of the prize. The winners assume all liability for any injury or damage caused, or claimed to be caused, by participation in this Promotion or use or redemption of any prize.

6. If for any reason this Promotion is not capable of running as planned, including but not limited to the reasons of infection by computer virus, bugs, tampering, unauthorized intervention, fraud, technical failures or any other causes beyond the control of the Organizer which corrupts or affects the administration security, fairness, integrity or proper conduct of this Promotion, The Organizer reserves the right to disqualify any individual who tampers with the entry process, and to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the Promotion, subject to approval from the relevant state authorities.
