Winter, summer and the monsoon are India’s three main seasons. The winter months of November to March are pleasant throughout India, with bright sunny days and cool, comfortable temperatures. This can often be the best time for a visit. Summer extends from April to June and is hot in most parts of the country, however you can find cooler comfort in the hill states. The monsoon brings heavy rain to the west coast from June to September, and from mid-October to December on the east coast.
