Palembang (INDONESIA)
Palembang, sited on the banks of the River Musi, is the captial of South Sumatra and Indonesia's leading centre for oil-refining and port trade. The River Musi which flows right through the city, is an ideal spot to watch the city's beautiful sunrises and sunsets, and to observe the bustle of life along the river banks. Other landmarks include The Great Mosque built in 1740 and the two museums in the town.
