Visa on arrival facility for foreigners would not be issued at the airport except for foreigners coming to Vietnam for emergency cases such as technical assistance for investment projects or air crash or disaster salvage. Vietnamese personnel or organizations inviting foreigners for above purposes must make the visa application to the Immigration department at least 24-hours before visitor arrival. Visa on arrival pre-arranged by a sponsor company in Vietnam must be approved by immigration prior to travel. Such visitors must hold a copy of the visa approval letter from Vietnamese Immigration authority bearing official stamp and visa approval reference number. No visa on arrival will be granted if advance application was not made before arrival date. Visitors arriving without valid visas will be immediately deported out of Vietnam on the same inbound flight. Back
