HOW TO BOOK:
Choose the hotel you wish to stay in from this microsite.  Then book online at www.singaporeair.com or call your travel agent or any Singapore Airlines or SilkAir office outside Singapore, at least 72 working hours prior to your hotel check-in date.  They will need the following information:
  • Your full name
  • Flight details, including arrival date in Singapore
  • Length of stay
  • Hotel required, with alternative choice
  • Triple, twin or single occupancy


MISCELLANEOUS CHARGES ORDER
You will receive a Miscellaneous Charges Order (MCO) or electronic Singapore Stopover Holiday (eSSH) receipt when you purchase the Singapore Stopover Holiday 2008-2009 package.  The MCO or eSSH receipt contains the name of the confirmed hotel and transfers.  You must bring this MCO or eSSH receipt with you to Singapore and present it to our ground operator and the hotel on arrival.  The hotel reserves the right to charge for reservations at the published rate if you fail to produce the MCO or eSSH.

TRANSFERS
When you arrive at Terminal 2 or Terminal 3 at Singapore Changi Airport, present your MCO or eSSH receipt at the SIA Stopover Holiday counter to arrange your hotel and return transfer.  Transfers are provided in air-conditioned coach or minibus on seat-in-coach basis.  Average waiting time is approximately 15 to 20 minutes.  Your return transfer to Terminal 2 or Terminal 3 will be automatically booked by SH Tours when you call at the SIA Stopover Holiday counter on your arrival.  Please contact SH Tours Pte Ltd at least 6 hours ahead if you need to change your pick-up time.  The change request is subject to seat availability.

FREE ATTRACTIONS
To enjoy free admission to inclusive attractions, you are required to present your Singapore Stopover identification card and the relevant voucher.  Your identification card and free admission vouchers will be issued to you when you visit the SIA Stopover Counter for your arrival transfer.  Transfers to the attractions are not included in the package price.  However, if you prefer inclusive transfers, it can be arranged at a surcharge.  Please contact our SIA Stopover Holiday representative at the hotel's tour desk or telephone SH Tours at +65-6734 9923 after your arrival in Singapore.  The use of free attractions is only valid up to the date of departure stated on the Singapore Stopover Holiday voucher.

CONDITIONS OF SALE
(A) The Singapore Stopover Holiday 2008-2009 package is only available to passengers travelling on Singapore Airlines Limited (SIA) and SilkAir (Singapore) Private Limited (SLK) flights except:
  • Unaccompanied children below 17 years of age
  • Passengers travelling on rebated agency and industry discounted travel and/or free air tickets

(B) Bookings for the package must be made at the same time as the purchase of the air tickets.

(C) Passengers on KrisFlyer redemption bookings are eligible to buy Singapore Stopover Holiday. Passengers traveling on bookings redeemed on other FFP programs are not eligible for SSH.

(D) The package is for passengers stopping over in Singapore en-route to their final destination.  All flights into and out of Singapore must be on SIA or SLK.

(E) The Singapore Stopover Holiday rate is sold at applicable local currency or designated currency of sales at point of origin of air travel.

(F) The Singapore Stopover Holiday 2008-2009 package is not sold in Singapore.  Restrictions on sale of Singapore Stopover 2008-2009 may apply in some countries.  Please contact your travel agent, SIA or SLK ticketing offices for details.

(G) There is no KrisFlyer mileage accrual for hotel bookings made under the Singapore Stopover Holiday 2008-2009.



BAGGAGE FOR LAND TRANSFERS
Baggage may be transported by luggage vans to your hotel or airport, which means your bag may travel separately from you and may arrive at the hotel or airport at a different time.
Free: A maximum of two standard bags with total weight not exceeding 20kg per person.
 
Surcharge: Handling charge of S$4 is applicable for each piece of excess, outsized or bulky baggage such as boxes, crates, golf-sets, etc.


ACCOMMODATION
Rooms at hotels are assigned on a run-of-house basis, unless otherwise stated; that is, from standard rooms upwards, depending on occupancy levels.  Allocation of room category is at the discretion of the hotel.

Hotel Miramar Singapore will be installing a new elevator from 7 April 2008. Upgrading work is restricted to 10am to 5pm and the project is expected to be completed in 2 months' time.

Hotel Peninsula/Excelsior is renovating rooms and conversion work may complete in 2009. Renovation works is from 9am to 6.30pm. Guest may use a special pass when taking the lift to bypass the floors undergoing renovation.

ROOM RATES
Adult

Single: Applies to a person travelling alone and for an individual booking.

Twin: Applies to 2 adults sharing one room, with each adult paying the twin-sharing price.

*Triple: Applies to a maximum of 3 adults sharing one room, with each adult paying the twin-sharing price.  The third adult will be provided with a rollaway bed.

Child (between 2 and under 12 years of old)

Twin: Applies to 1 child sharing a room with 1 adult.
The adult and child each pay the adult twin-sharing price.
Applies when two children occupy a room.
Each child pays the adult twin-sharing price
*Triple: Applies to 1 child sharing a room with 2 adults, with each adult paying the twin-sharing price.  The child gets a 50% discount on the adult twin-sharing rate.  Only 1 extra bed will be provided.  2nd child sharing the room will share existing bedding.

'Child' is a person up to the age of 12 years on the first day of the accommodation period.  If the child exceeds this age during the accommodation, the adult single or twin-sharing price (as applicable) will be charged from his/her birthday.

*Triple-share rooms are not available in Amara Sanctuary Resort Sentosa, Fairmont Singapore, Gallery Hotel, Grand Plaza Park Hotel City Hall, Link Hotel, Mandarin Oriental, Singapore, Rendezvous Hotel Singapore and Shangri-La Hotel Singapore.


HOTEL CHECK-IN AND CHECK-OUT TIMES
  • Hotel check-in time varies between 12 noon and 3pm.  The usual hotel check-out time is before 12 noon.  Hotels reserve the right to charge for periods when the room is occupied before or after official check-in/check-out times.
  • While making your reservations, please consider whether your booking includes early arrival or late departure.


ROOMING REQUESTS
You may request for services such as double bed, inter-connecting room, smoking/non-smoking room, low/high floor when booking your Singapore Stopover Holiday 2008-2009 package.  However, these requests are not guaranteed and are subject to room availability on the day of arrival.

HOTEL FOOD DISCOUNT
As a Singapore Stopover Holiday customer, you are entitled to 50% discount on the à la carte food menu at the designated food outlets in the hotel of your stay.  The discount does not apply during festive seasons and on the eve of public holidays.

ALTERATION OF BOOKING
Should you decide to change your travel plans, please advise your nearest SIA or SLK office prior to travel.  Otherwise, we cannot guarantee the availability of your accommodation and transfers.

VISA REQUIREMENTS
It is the passenger's responsibility to ensure that passports, visas and all travel documents are valid for entry into Singapore and other destinations.  

CANCELLATIONS AND NO SHOWS
For cancellations within 48 working hours of hotel check-in date and "no shows", a fee equivalent to first night's stay is chargeable. 

REFUNDS
There is no refund for unused or partially used items in the Singapore Stopover Holiday 2008-2009 package.  All inclusive and free benefits are not transferable and cannot be exchanged for cash or any other forms of claims if not utilised.  However, for cancellations with valid reasons, refunds are allowed if services are not utilised at all.  Refunds must be applied for within three months of cancellation and the original MCO or eSSH receipt must be presented when applying for refund.  

ITEMS NOT INCLUDED
Airport taxes, surcharges, visa fees, sales taxes, exit charges levied by local authorities, custom duties, excess baggage charges, porter charge, personal and baggage insurance, laundry, meals and all other expenses not specifically listed in this brochure are not included in the Singapore Stopover Holiday price.  

Usage of facilities at some hotels such as the health centre, business centre, spa etc. may be subject to a fee.  Guests are advised to check with hotels prior to use.  Optional attractions and tours are charged separately.

VALIDITY
All information in this microsite is correct at the time of loading (March 2008).  Prices and offers quoted are subject to change without notice.  

OTHER TERMS AND CONDITIONS
All arrangements in this microsite for transport, accommodation or other services except air transportation, [the "Services"] are provided by suppliers independent of Tradewinds Tours & Travel Pte Ltd (“TTT”), (“SIA”), (“SLK”) and/or participating partner airlines.  SIA, SLK and participating partner airlines only provide air transportation.

Your contractual or other relationship is directly with the supplier of the Services and independent of SIA, SLK or any participating partner.  The Services are provided based on the terms and conditions of the supplier of the Services.

Any limitations which apply to the carrier's liability in respect of air transport as a result of the Warsaw Convention and the Montreal Convention (amended or unchanged), whichever shall be applicable, will also apply for the benefit of the organiser and supplier of the Services.

TTT, SIA, SLK, any participating partner airline, their employees and/or agents will not be liable for any loss, damage, delay, expense, injury, accident, or death that occurs as a result of the provision of the Services.

TTT, SIA, SLK, any participating partner airline, their employees and/or agents will not be liable for any loss, damage, delay, expense, injury, accident, or death that occurs from causes outside their reasonable control or from any act or omission of a party other than themselves.

In no event will the liability of TTT, SIA, SLK, any participating partner airline, their employees and/or agents for any loss, damage, delay, or expense exceed as an absolute maximum the price of the Services obtained.

GOVERNING LAW
The terms and conditions herein constitute the entire agreement amongst TTT, SIA, SLK and their participating partner airlines with you for the Singapore Stopover Holiday 2008-2009.  This agreement is governed by and will be construed in accordance with the laws of Singapore.  You will have to irrevocably submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Singapore.

In the interpretation of these conditions, no rules of construction will apply to the disadvantage of any party on the basis that that party drafted that condition.
