For flights between Bangkok and Zurich, our weight-concept baggage policy applies. In Economy Class, the checked baggage allowance is 25kg on Lite and Value fares, and 30kg on Standard and Flexi fares. Premium Economy Class includes 35kg of checked baggage, Business Class includes 40kg, and First Class includes 50kg. Each checked bag must not exceed 32kg. For cabin baggage, Economy Class and Premium Economy Class passengers may bring 1 piece up to 7kg, while First Class and Business Class passengers may bring 2 pieces, each up to 7kg. Your exact allowance is shown on your e-ticket, and KrisFlyer Elite Gold and PPS Club members enjoy additional allowances.

Wi-Fi is available once the aircraft is above 10,000 feet on this route. It is free and unlimited for KrisFlyer members, and Economy Class and Premium Economy Class customers should add their membership number to the booking at least 1.5 hours before departure. Paid plans are available for non-members. The service is suitable for messaging, email, and basic browsing, but it does not support video streaming, video calls, or large file transfers.

On both the Bangkok–Singapore and Singapore–Zurich sectors, Economy Class seats offer a 32-inch pitch with up to 19-inch seat width, designed for comfort on longer flights. Premium Economy Class, available on the Airbus A350-900 from Bangkok and on the Boeing 777-300ER from Singapore, provides a 38-inch pitch and up to 20-inch seat width. Business Class on all sectors features a fully flat bed with direct aisle access for every seat, while First Class on the Singapore–Zurich Boeing 777-300ER sector offers a spacious fully flat bed with enhanced privacy.

Yes, Singapore Airlines provides lounge access to eligible passengers with a layover in Singapore. Your eligibility is based on your class of travel or your KrisFlyer and Star Alliance status, and it is determined by your flight leaving Singapore. Other options, like purchasing a day pass at a pay-per-use lounge, are also available.

At Singapore Changi Airport, eligible customers may be able to use The Private Room, the SilverKris Lounge (First Class), the SilverKris Lounge (Business Class), or the KrisFlyer Gold Lounge.

Cabin Class: Complimentary for Suites, First, and Business Class passengers. Premium Economy and Economy travellers do not have access unless they hold eligible status.

The Next Segment Rule: Eligibility is based on the flight immediately departing that airport. For example, if you fly Economy from Bangkok but have a Business Class onward flight from Singapore, you get lounge access in Singapore only.

Singapore Changi Airport offers a wide range of ways to spend your layover when travelling from Bangkok to Zurich. For longer layovers of at least around 5.5 to 6 hours, you can consider joining one of the official transit city tours, which let you see selected highlights of Singapore before returning to the airport.

If you prefer to stay airside, you will find themed gardens, quiet rest areas, nap zones, and entertainment spaces to help you relax between flights. Selected terminals also feature family-friendly play zones and walking routes that make it easy to stretch your legs.

Zurich follows Central European Time (UTC+1) in roughly late October to late March, and Central European Summer Time (UTC+2) from late March to late October. This means Zurich is normally 6 hours behind Bangkok in winter and 5 hours behind Bangkok in summer.

Through-Check Conditions
For your bags to be sent directly to your final destination, the following general conditions must be met:

Single Itinerary: Both flight segments (Bangkok–Singapore and Singapore–Zurich) must be under the same booking reference or PNR.

Layover Duration: Your connection in Singapore must be less than 24 hours. If your layover exceeds 24 hours, it is considered a stopover, and you will typically be required to collect your luggage and re-check it for your onward flight.

Partner Airlines: If your onward flight from Singapore to Zurich is operated by a partner airline, Singapore Airlines has through-check agreements that usually allow your bags to be tagged to your final destination.
