Checked baggage allowances are: Economy Class 25kg on Lite and Value fares, and 30kg on Standard and Flexi fares; Premium Economy Class 35kg; Business Class 40kg; First Class 50kg. Each checked bag must not exceed 32kg. For cabin baggage, Economy Class and Premium Economy Class may bring 1 piece up to 7kg, while First Class and Business Class may bring 2 pieces, each up to 7kg. Your final allowance is shown on your e-ticket, and KrisFlyer Elite Gold and PPS Club members enjoy additional allowances.

Wi-Fi is available on most Singapore Airlines flights from Tokyo to Medan once the aircraft is above 10,000 feet. For layovers in Singapore Changi Airport, you can consider joining the official transit tour programme if your connection meets the minimum layover time, usually around 5.5 to 6 hours, to enjoy a brief introduction to the city. If your time is shorter, staying airside still offers plenty to do, from themed gardens and walking trails to rest areas and quiet corners.
