For Xiamen to Manila flights, the weight concept applies. In Economy Class, the checked baggage allowance is 25kg on Lite and Value fares, and 30kg on Standard and Flexi fares. In Business Class, the checked baggage allowance is 40kg. Each checked bag must not exceed 32kg.

For cabin baggage, Economy Class passengers may bring 1 piece up to 7kg, while Business Class passengers may bring 2 pieces, each up to 7kg. The final baggage allowance for your trip is shown on your e-ticket, and KrisFlyer Elite Gold and PPS Club members are entitled to additional allowances.

Wi-Fi is available once the aircraft is above 10,000 feet on Singapore Airlines services between Xiamen, Singapore, and Manila. It is free and unlimited for KrisFlyer members; Economy Class members must add their membership number to the booking at least 1.5 hours before departure.

Non-members can purchase access plans on board. The connection supports messaging, email, and basic browsing, but it does not support video streaming, video calls, or large file transfers.

Cabin Class: Complimentary for Suites, First, and Business Class passengers. Premium Economy and Economy travellers do not have access unless they hold eligible status.

Frequent Flyer Status: PPS Club and KrisFlyer Elite Gold (or Star Alliance Gold) members have access regardless of cabin class.

The 'Next Segment' Rule: Eligibility is based on the flight immediately departing that airport. For example, if you fly Economy from Xiamen but have a Business Class onward flight from Singapore, you get lounge access in Singapore only.

Singapore Changi Airport offers extensive facilities for a comfortable layover, including themed gardens, rest areas, and children’s play zones. With a longer connection of at least around 5.5–6 hours, you can also consider the official transit tour into the city, subject to eligibility and operating hours.

For shorter layovers, it is convenient to stay airside and explore the terminals, where you will find walking routes, art installations, and a wide variety of dining options. Quiet lounges, snooze areas, and airport hotels make it easy to rest between flights.

Xiamen follows China Standard Time (UTC+8) and does not observe daylight saving time. Manila also operates on Philippine Time (UTC+8) without daylight saving time. This means there is no time difference between Xiamen and Manila at any point in the year.

Yes, your baggage will typically be checked through to Manila when flying from Xiamen via Singapore on a single booking with Singapore Airlines.

Through-Check Conditions
For your bags to be sent directly to your final destination, the following general conditions must be met:

Single Itinerary: Both flight segments (Xiamen–Singapore and Singapore–Manila) must be under the same booking reference or PNR.

Layover Duration: Your connection in Singapore must be less than 24 hours. If your layover exceeds 24 hours, it is considered a stopover, and you will typically be required to collect your luggage and re-check it for your onward flight.

Partner Airlines: If your onward flight from Singapore to Manila is operated by a partner airline, Singapore Airlines has through-check agreements that usually allow your bags to be tagged to your final destination.

You may be able to plan a stopover in Singapore on your Xiamen–Manila trip, subject to your ticket conditions and availability.
