Beverage Service
A selection of hot and cold beverages, including juices, soft drinks, tea, and coffee, is served on board, along with our signature Singapore Sling, which is available to all cabins on eligible sectors.

For flights between Kochi and Kathmandu, the weight concept applies. For checked baggage, Economy Class guests may bring 25kg on Lite and Value fares, and 30kg on Standard and Flexi fares. Business Class guests may bring up to 40kg. Each checked bag must not exceed 32kg for safety reasons.

For cabin baggage, Economy Class guests may bring 1 piece up to 7kg. Business Class guests may bring 2 pieces, each up to 7kg. The final baggage allowance for your journey is shown on your e-ticket, and KrisFlyer Elite Gold and PPS Club members enjoy additional allowances.

Wi-Fi is available on Singapore Airlines flights from Kochi to Kathmandu once the aircraft is above 10,000 feet. It is free and unlimited for KrisFlyer members; Economy Class members must add their membership number to the booking at least 1.5 hours before departure. Paid plans are available for non-members.

The connection is suitable for messaging, email, and basic browsing, but it does not support video streaming, video calls, or large file transfers. Coverage and performance may vary slightly during the flight.

On the Kochi to Singapore sector operated by the Boeing 737-8 MAX, Economy Class offers a seat pitch of around 32 inches with up to 19 inches of seat width, providing comfortable legroom for the journey. Business Class offers a fully flat bed with generous space to stretch out and direct aisle access.

On the Singapore to Kathmandu sector, which is also operated by the Boeing 737-8 MAX, the cabin experience is similar. Economy Class provides approximately 32-inch pitch and up to 19-inch seat width, while Business Class features fully flat beds and direct aisle access at every seat.

Yes, Singapore Airlines provides lounge access to eligible passengers with a layover in Singapore. Your eligibility is based on your class of travel or your KrisFlyer and Star Alliance status, and it is determined by your flight leaving Singapore. Other options, like purchasing a day pass at a pay-per-use lounge, are also available.

With a layover at Singapore Changi Airport, you can explore indoor gardens, walking trails, and rest areas within the terminals. Longer layovers may allow you to join the airports free city tour, which usually requires a minimum transit time of around 5.5 to 6 hours between flights.

For shorter connections, you can enjoy a meal, relax in a quiet zone, or simply take time to freshen up before your onward flight to Kathmandu. Your time at Singapore Changi Airport is more than just a wait — it is an integral part of your journey.

When departing from Kochi, eligible Singapore Airlines customers may be able to use the Earth Premium Lounge at Cochin International Airport, depending on their cabin and frequent flyer status. During your layover at Singapore Changi Airport, eligible passengers may have access to facilities such as the SilverKris Lounge (First Class), SilverKris Lounge (Business Class), or KrisFlyer Gold Lounge.

Lounge access entitlements are based on your class of travel and KrisFlyer or Star Alliance status, and they are determined by your departing flight. Please check your booking or with our staff at the airport for precise access details.

Kochi follows India Standard Time, which is UTC+5:30 throughout the year and does not observe daylight saving time. Kathmandu follows Nepal Time, which is UTC+5:45, also without daylight saving time. Kathmandu is therefore 15 minutes ahead of Kochi at all times of the year.

We recommend that you arrive at Cochin International Airport at least 3 hours before your scheduled departure time for flights to Kathmandu via Singapore. This allows enough time for check-in, security checks, and any immigration formalities before you board your first sector.

If your Kochi to Kathmandu journey is booked on a single Singapore Airlines itinerary, we will normally check your bags through to Kathmandu at Kochi. You will not usually need to collect them in Singapore during your layover, unless advised otherwise by our airport staff.

On arrival at Tribhuvan International Airport in Kathmandu, you will clear immigration, collect your checked baggage, and pass through customs.
