For flights between Seattle and Christchurch, the piece concept applies for checked baggage as the journey involves the United States of America. In Economy Class, you may check in 2 pieces, each up to 23kg. In Premium Economy Class, you may check in 2 pieces, each up to 23kg. In Business Class, you may check in 2 pieces, each up to 32kg. Each individual checked piece must not exceed 32kg. For cabin baggage, Economy Class and Premium Economy Class guests may bring 1 piece up to 7kg, while Business Class guests may bring 2 pieces, each up to 7kg. Your exact allowance is shown on your e-ticket, and KrisFlyer Elite Gold and PPS Club members are entitled to additional allowances.

Wi-Fi is available on Singapore Airlines flights from Seattle to Christchurch once the aircraft is above 10,000 feet. It is free and unlimited for KrisFlyer members, although Economy Class and Premium Economy Class customers must add their membership number to the booking at least 1.5 hours before departure. The 'Next Segment' Rule: Eligibility is based on the flight immediately departing that airport. For example, if you fly Economy from Seattle but have a Business Class onward flight from Singapore, you get lounge access in Singapore only.

Singapore Changi Airport offers a wide range of ways to spend your layover, from themed gardens and quiet rest areas to family zones and spa facilities. For shorter layovers, you can stay airside, explore the terminals, enjoy the indoor greenery, or relax in comfortable seating with dining and shopping nearby.

If you have a longer connection of at least around 5.5 to 6 hours, you may be able to join an official transit tour into the city, subject to timing and eligibility. These tours allow you to see highlights of Singapore without handling your checked baggage.
