For flights between Taipei and Los Angeles, the piece concept applies as the journey includes the United States of America. For checked baggage, Economy Class customers may bring 2 pieces, each up to 23kg. Premium Economy Class customers may bring 2 pieces, each up to 23kg. Business Class customers may bring 2 pieces, each up to 32kg.

For cabin baggage, Economy Class and Premium Economy Class customers may bring 1 piece up to 7kg. Business Class customers may bring 2 pieces, each up to 7kg. Each individual checked piece must not exceed 32kg. Your final baggage allowance is shown on your e-ticket, and KrisFlyer Elite Gold and PPS Club members enjoy additional allowances.

Wi-Fi is available on Singapore Airlines flights from Taipei to Los Angeles once the aircraft is above 10,000 feet. It is free and unlimited for KrisFlyer members; Economy Class and Premium Economy Class customers should add their membership number to the booking at least 1.5 hours before departure. Paid plans are available for non-members. The service supports messaging, email, and basic browsing, but does not support video streaming, video calls, or large file transfers.

For longer layovers, you may join an official transit tour into the city, subject to timing and eligibility. In Taipei (TPE), eligible Singapore Airlines customers may use the SilverKris Lounge before departure. During your layover at Singapore (SIN), eligible customers may access the SilverKris Lounge (First Class), SilverKris Lounge (Business Class), or KrisFlyer Gold Lounge, depending on cabin and membership status. Lounge access is determined by your onward flight and frequent flyer tier.

Los Angeles follows Pacific Time, which is Pacific Standard Time (UTC−8) roughly from November to March and Pacific Daylight Time (UTC−7) roughly from March to November. This means Los Angeles is typically 16 hours behind Taipei in winter and 15 hours behind in summer.

When you arrive in Los Angeles from Taipei via Singapore, you will clear United States immigration and customs at Los Angeles International Airport. Allow time for border formalities and baggage collection. After exiting the arrivals area, you will find signs directing you to ground transport, car hire counters, and inter-terminal shuttle services.

For flights from Taipei to Los Angeles via Singapore, we recommend arriving at Taipei Taoyuan International Airport at least 3 hours before your scheduled departure. This allows enough time for check-in, security screening, and a relaxed walk to the gate, especially during busy travel periods.
