For flights between Tokyo and Zurich, our weight concept applies. Checked baggage allowances are: Economy Class (25kg for Lite/Value fares, 30kg for Standard/Flexi), Premium Economy Class (35kg), Business Class (40kg), and First Class (50kg). Each checked bag must not exceed 32kg. Cabin baggage allowances are: Economy Class and Premium Economy Class (1 piece up to 7kg), and Business Class and First Class (2 pieces, each up to 7kg). Your final allowance is shown on your e-ticket, and KrisFlyer Elite Gold and PPS Club members enjoy additional allowances.

Wi-Fi is available on most Singapore Airlines aircraft operating between Tokyo, Singapore, and Zurich once the aircraft is above 10,000 feet. It is free and unlimited for KrisFlyer members, though Economy Class and Premium Economy Class passengers must add their membership number to the booking at least 1.5 hours before departure. Non-members can purchase access plans. The service is designed for messaging, email, and basic browsing, and does not support video streaming, video calls, or large file transfers.

On Tokyo–Singapore sectors operated by the Boeing 777-300ER, you can expect Economy Class seats with a 32-inch pitch and up to 19-inch seat width, Premium Economy Class with a 38-inch pitch and up to 20-inch seat width, Business Class with fully flat beds and direct aisle access, and First Class with fully flat beds. On Tokyo–Singapore flights operated by the Airbus A350-900 or Boeing 787-10, Economy Class offers a 32-inch pitch and up to 19-inch seat width, while Business Class features fully flat beds with direct aisle access. On Singapore–Zurich Boeing 777-300ER flights, Economy Class, Premium Economy Class, Business Class, and First Class follow the same legroom characteristics as the Tokyo–Singapore Boeing 777-300ER sectors.

Yes, Singapore Airlines provides lounge access to eligible passengers with a layover in Singapore. Your eligibility is based on your class of travel or your KrisFlyer and Star Alliance status, and it is determined by your flight leaving Singapore. Other options, like purchasing a day pass at a pay-per-use lounge, are also available.

Cabin Class: Complimentary for Suites, First, and Business Class passengers. Premium Economy and Economy travellers do not have access unless they hold eligible status.

Frequent Flyer Status: PPS Club and KrisFlyer Elite Gold (or Star Alliance Gold) members have access regardless of cabin class.

The 'Next Segment' Rule: Eligibility is based on the flight immediately departing that airport. For example, if you fly Economy from Tokyo but have a Business Class onward flight from Singapore, you get lounge access in Singapore only.

For longer layovers, you can consider joining an official city tour from the airport if your connection meets the minimum time requirements. From late March to late October, Zurich switches to Central European Summer Time (UTC+2), and Tokyo is 7 hours ahead.

Through-Check Conditions
For your bags to be sent directly to your final destination, the following general conditions must be met:

Single Itinerary: Both flight segments (Tokyo–Singapore and Singapore–Zurich) must be under the same booking reference or PNR.

Layover Duration: Your connection in Singapore must be less than 24 hours. If your layover exceeds 24 hours, it is considered a stopover, and you will typically be required to collect your luggage and re-check it for your onward flight.

Partner Airlines: If your onward flight from Singapore to Zurich is operated by a partner airline, Singapore Airlines has through-check agreements that usually allow your bags to be tagged to your final destination.
