Book the Cook
Eligible Business Class customers on the Colombo to Singapore sector can take advantage of our Book the Cook service, pre-ordering from a wider range of main courses. On the shorter Singapore to Phuket flight, a curated menu is served, and Book the Cook may not be available.

Beverage Service
Throughout your journey, you can enjoy a range of hot and cold drinks, including juices, soft drinks, teas, coffees, and a selection of alcoholic beverages. Our signature Singapore Sling is available on board, allowing you to enjoy a classic cocktail above the clouds.

For flights between Colombo and Phuket, the weight concept applies. In Economy Class, the checked baggage allowance is 25kg on Lite and Value fares, and 30kg on Standard and Flexi fares. In Business Class, you can check up to 40kg of baggage. Each checked bag must not exceed 32kg.

For cabin baggage, Economy Class customers may bring one piece up to 7kg, while Business Class customers may bring two pieces, each up to 7kg. The final baggage allowance for your trip is shown on your e-ticket, and KrisFlyer Elite Gold and PPS Club members enjoy additional allowances on top of the standard limits.

Wi-Fi is available on equipped aircraft once we are above 10,000 feet on the Colombo–Singapore sector, and on selected Singapore–Phuket flights. KrisFlyer members enjoy free, unlimited Wi-Fi; Economy Class and Business Class customers should add their membership number to the booking at least 1.5 hours before departure to qualify.

Non-members can purchase access plans on board. The connection is suitable for messaging, email, and basic browsing, but it does not support video streaming, video calls, or large file transfers. Coverage and performance may vary depending on the aircraft and route segment.

On the Colombo to Singapore flights operated by the Airbus A350-900 or Boeing 787-10, Economy Class typically offers around a 32-inch seat pitch with up to 19-inch seat width, while Business Class features a fully flat bed with direct aisle access from every seat.

Yes, Singapore Airlines provides lounge access to eligible passengers with a layover in Singapore. Your eligibility is based on your class of travel or your KrisFlyer and Star Alliance status, and it is determined by your flight leaving Singapore. Other options, like purchasing a day pass at a pay-per-use lounge, are also available.

At Singapore Changi Airport, eligible customers can relax in facilities such as the SilverKris Lounge (First Class), SilverKris Lounge (Business Class), and the KrisFlyer Gold Lounge before their onward flight to Phuket.

Lounge Access Eligibility
Cabin Class: Complimentary for Suites, First, and Business Class passengers. Premium Economy and Economy travellers do not have access unless they hold eligible status.

Frequent Flyer Status: PPS Club and KrisFlyer Elite Gold (or Star Alliance Gold) members have access regardless of cabin class.

The 'Next Segment' Rule: Eligibility is based on the flight immediately departing that airport. For example, if you fly Economy from Colombo but have a Business Class onward flight from Singapore, you get lounge access in Singapore only.

Singapore Changi Airport is designed to make layovers pleasant, with themed gardens, relaxation zones, and nap areas in the transit halls. For shorter connections, you can stay airside, enjoy a meal, take a walk through the terminals, or spend time in one of the quiet rest areas between flights.

For longer layovers of at least 5.5–6 hours, you can consider joining one of the airport's official transit tours into the city, subject to timing and eligibility. These curated tours let you see highlights of Singapore without handling your checked baggage, as long as it is tagged through to Phuket.

Changi Airport also offers shower facilities, transit hotels, and family-friendly play spaces, so you can refresh, rest, or let children unwind before the next sector. Your time at Singapore Changi Airport is more than just a wait — it's an integral part of your journey.

Colombo follows Asia/Colombo time, which is UTC+5:30 and does not observe daylight saving time. Phuket follows Asia/Bangkok time, which is UTC+7:00 and also does not change during the year. Phuket is therefore 1 hour 30 minutes ahead of Colombo throughout the year.

Through-Check Conditions
For your bags to be sent directly to your final destination, the following general conditions must be met:

Layover Duration: Your connection in Singapore must be less than 24 hours. If your layover exceeds 24 hours, it is considered a stopover, and you will typically be required to collect your luggage and re-check it for your onward flight.

Partner Airlines: If your onward flight from Singapore to Phuket is operated by a partner airline, Singapore Airlines has through-check agreements that usually allow your bags to be tagged to your final destination.
