For flights between Kolkata and Taipei, the weight concept applies. In Economy Class, the checked baggage allowance is 25kg on Lite and Value fares, and 30kg on Standard and Flexi fares. In Business Class, the checked baggage allowance is 40kg. Each checked bag must not exceed 32kg.

For cabin baggage, Economy Class passengers may bring 1 piece up to 7kg, while Business Class passengers may bring 2 pieces, each up to 7kg. The final baggage allowance for your trip is shown on your e-ticket, and KrisFlyer Elite Gold and PPS Club members enjoy additional allowances.

Wi-Fi is available on Singapore Airlines flights from Kolkata to Taipei once the Airbus A350-900 is above 10,000 feet. It is free and unlimited for KrisFlyer members; Economy Class members must add their membership number to the booking at least 1.5 hours before departure. Non-members can purchase access plans on board.

The 'Next Segment' Rule: Eligibility is based on the flight immediately departing that airport. For example, if you fly Economy from Kolkata but have a Business Class onward flight from Singapore, you get lounge access in Singapore only.

At Singapore Changi Airport, longer layovers can include joining an official transit tour into the city, typically available if you have at least around 5.5 to 6 hours between flights. You can see highlights of Singapore while your onward boarding pass and baggage remain taken care of.

For shorter layovers, you can stay airside and enjoy gardens, rest areas, free-to-watch entertainment zones, and quiet corners suitable for working or relaxing. Airport hotels and snooze areas are also available if you prefer a nap or a shower.
