For flights between Sydney and Amsterdam, the weight concept applies. Checked baggage allowances are: Economy Class (Lite and Value fares: 25kg; Standard and Flexi: 30kg), Premium Economy Class (35kg), Business Class (40kg), and Suites or First Class (50kg). Each checked bag must not exceed 32kg. Cabin baggage allowances are: Economy Class and Premium Economy Class (1 piece, up to 7kg), and Suites, First Class, and Business Class (2 pieces, each up to 7kg). Your final allowance is shown on your e-ticket, and KrisFlyer Elite Gold and PPS Club members enjoy additional allowances.

Wi-Fi is available on most Singapore Airlines services from Sydney to Amsterdam once the aircraft is above 10,000 feet. Wi-Fi is free and unlimited for KrisFlyer members, although Economy Class and Premium Economy Class customers must add their membership number to the booking at least 1.5 hours before departure. Paid plans are offered for non-members. The connection is suitable for messaging, email, and basic browsing, but does not support video streaming, video calls, or large file transfers.

On both sectors between Sydney and Singapore, and Singapore and Amsterdam, Economy Class seats offer a 32-inch pitch and up to 19-inch seat width. Premium Economy Class provides a 38-inch pitch and up to 20-inch seat width. The 'Next Segment' Rule: Eligibility is based on the flight immediately departing that airport. For example, if you fly Economy from Sydney but have a Business Class onward flight from Singapore, you get lounge access in Singapore only.

Singapore Changi Airport offers extensive airside facilities, including themed gardens, quiet rest areas, spa services, and family zones, making it comfortable to remain in transit between your Sydney and Amsterdam flights. With a longer layover, you may also be able to join the official transit tour into the city, which typically requires several hours between flights and meets the airport’s eligibility criteria. Shorter connections are best spent exploring the terminals, enjoying the dining options, or relaxing at one of the airport hotels. Amsterdam follows Central European Time (UTC+1) and Central European Summer Time (UTC+2), usually from late March to late October. When both cities are on standard time, Sydney is 9 hours ahead of Amsterdam; when both observe daylight saving, Sydney is 9 hours ahead. During the shoulder weeks when only one city has moved to or from daylight saving, the difference may briefly shift to 7 or 11 hours.

Through-Check Conditions
For your bags to be sent directly to your final destination, the following general conditions must be met:

Single Itinerary: Both flight segments (Sydney–Singapore and Singapore–Amsterdam) must be under the same booking reference or PNR.

Layover Duration: Your connection in Singapore must be less than 24 hours. If your layover exceeds 24 hours, it is considered a stopover, and you will typically be required to collect your luggage and re-check it for your onward flight.

Partner Airlines: If your onward flight from Singapore to Amsterdam is operated by a partner airline, Singapore Airlines has through-check agreements that usually allow your bags to be tagged to your final destination.
