A selection of hot and cold drinks, juices, and alcoholic beverages is served on board, and our signature Singapore Sling is available so you can enjoy a classic taste of our heritage during your journey.

For flights between Tokyo and Istanbul, the weight-concept baggage policy applies. In Economy Class, Lite and Value fares include 25kg of checked baggage, and Standard and Flexi fares include 30kg. Premium Economy Class includes 35kg of checked baggage, and Business Class and First Class include 40kg and 50kg respectively. Each checked bag must not exceed 32kg.

For cabin baggage, Economy Class and Premium Economy Class customers may bring 1 piece up to 7kg. Business Class and First Class customers may bring 2 pieces, each up to 7kg. Your final allowance is shown on your e-ticket, and KrisFlyer Elite Gold and PPS Club members enjoy additional allowances.

Wi-Fi is available on Singapore Airlines flights from Tokyo to Singapore and from Singapore to Istanbul once the aircraft is above 10,000 feet. It is free and unlimited for KrisFlyer members; Economy Class and Premium Economy Class members should add their membership number to the booking at least 1.5 hours before departure.

Non-members can purchase access plans on board. Connections are suitable for messaging, email, and basic browsing, but do not support video streaming, video calls, or large file transfers.

On the Tokyo–Singapore sector, Economy Class seats offer a 32-inch pitch with up to 19-inch seat width, and on flights with Premium Economy Class you can enjoy a 38-inch pitch with up to 20-inch seat width. Business Class features a fully flat bed with direct aisle access, and First Class on selected Boeing 777-300ER services also offers a fully flat bed.

On the Singapore–Istanbul sector, the Airbus A350-900 offers Economy Class with a 32-inch pitch and up to 19-inch seat width, Premium Economy Class with a 38-inch pitch and up to 20-inch seat width, and Business Class with fully flat beds and direct aisle access at every seat.

Yes, Singapore Airlines provides lounge access to eligible passengers with a layover in Singapore. Your eligibility is based on your class of travel or your KrisFlyer and Star Alliance status, and it is determined by your flight leaving Singapore. Other options, like purchasing a day pass at a pay-per-use lounge, are also available.

Lounge Access Eligibility
Cabin Class: Complimentary for Suites, First, and Business Class passengers. Premium Economy and Economy travellers do not have access unless they hold eligible status.

Frequent Flyer Status: PPS Club and KrisFlyer Elite Gold (or Star Alliance Gold) members have access regardless of cabin class.

The 'Next Segment' Rule: Eligibility is based on the flight immediately departing that airport. For example, if you fly Economy from Tokyo but have a Business Class onward flight from Singapore, you get lounge access in Singapore only.

In Singapore, eligible customers may be invited to The Private Room, SilverKris Lounge (First Class), SilverKris Lounge (Business Class), or KrisFlyer Gold Lounge, depending on cabin and membership status.

If your layover in Singapore is at least 5.5 hours, you can consider joining one of the official transit tours that showcase highlights of the city before returning you to Singapore Changi Airport in time for your next flight. Check eligibility, timings, and registration requirements before you travel.

For shorter connections, staying airside at Changi Airport is relaxing and convenient. You can enjoy themed gardens, quiet rest areas, art installations, and a variety of dining choices across the terminals. Some terminals also offer amenities such as nap zones, play areas, and transit hotels.

Yes, your baggage will typically be checked through to Istanbul Airport when flying from Tokyo via Singapore on a single booking with Singapore Airlines.

Through-Check Conditions
For your bags to be sent directly to your final destination, the following general conditions must be met:

Single Itinerary: Both flight segments (Tokyo–Singapore and Singapore–Istanbul) must be under the same booking reference or PNR.

Layover Duration: Your connection in Singapore must be less than 24 hours. If your layover exceeds 24 hours, it is considered a stopover, and you will typically be required to collect your luggage and re-check it for your onward flight.

Partner Airlines: If your onward flight from Singapore to Istanbul is operated by a partner airline, Singapore Airlines has through-check agreements that usually allow your bags to be tagged to your final destination.
