For flights between Bengaluru and Penang, the weight concept applies. In Economy Class, the checked baggage allowance is 25kg for Lite and Value fares, and 30kg for Standard and Flexi fares. Premium Economy Class passengers may check in up to 35kg, and Business Class passengers up to 40kg. Each checked bag must not exceed 32kg. For cabin baggage, Economy Class and Premium Economy Class travellers may bring 1 piece up to 7kg, while Business Class travellers may bring 2 pieces, each up to 7kg. The final allowance for your journey is shown on your e-ticket, and KrisFlyer Elite Gold and PPS Club members have additional allowances.

Wi-Fi is available on most Singapore Airlines flights on this route once the aircraft is above 10,000 feet. KrisFlyer members enjoy free and unlimited Wi-Fi, and Economy Class and Premium Economy Class members should add their membership number to the booking at least 1.5 hours before departure. Non-members can purchase a paid plan on board. The connection is suitable for messaging, email, and basic browsing, but it does not support video streaming, video calls, or large file transfers.

At Singapore Changi Airport, eligible customers can relax in facilities such as the SilverKris Lounge (First Class), SilverKris Lounge (Business Class), and KrisFlyer Gold Lounge.

Lounge Access Eligibility
Cabin Class: Complimentary for Suites, First, and Business Class passengers. Premium Economy and Economy travellers do not have access unless they hold eligible status.

Frequent Flyer Status: PPS Club and KrisFlyer Elite Gold (or Star Alliance Gold) members have access regardless of cabin class.

The Next Segment Rule: Eligibility is based on the flight immediately departing that airport. For example, if you fly Economy from Bengaluru but have a Business Class onward flight from Singapore, you get lounge access in Singapore only.

Singapore Changi Airport is designed for transit comfort, with themed gardens, art displays, rest areas, and playgrounds spread across its terminals. If your layover is at least 5.5 to 6 hours, you may also be able to join an official transit tour into the city, subject to operating hours and immigration requirements.

For shorter layovers, you can stay airside and enjoy facilities such as walking trails, quiet zones, and a wide variety of dining and shopping. Selected terminals also offer features like indoor gardens, viewing galleries, and relaxation corners.
