For flights between Colombo and Xiamen, our weight-concept baggage policy applies. In Economy Class, checked baggage allowances are 25kg on Lite and Value fares, and 30kg on Standard and Flexi fares. In Business Class, the checked baggage allowance is 40kg. Each checked bag must not exceed 32kg.

For cabin baggage, Economy Class passengers may bring one piece up to 7kg. Business Class passengers may bring two pieces, each up to 7kg. Your final baggage allowance is shown on your e-ticket, and KrisFlyer Elite Gold and PPS Club members enjoy additional allowances.

Wi-Fi is available on Singapore Airlines flights from Colombo to Xiamen once the aircraft is above 10,000 feet. It is free and unlimited for KrisFlyer members; Economy Class and Premium Economy Class members should add their membership number to the booking at least 1.5 hours before departure. Non-members can purchase access plans. The service supports messaging, email, and basic browsing, but does not support video streaming, video calls, or large file transfers.

On both the Colombo–Singapore and Singapore–Xiamen sectors, Economy Class seats offer a 32-inch pitch and up to 19-inch seat width, providing comfortable space for regional travel. Cabin Class: Complimentary for Suites, First, and Business Class passengers. Premium Economy and Economy travellers do not have access unless they hold eligible status.

Frequent Flyer Status: PPS Club and KrisFlyer Elite Gold (or Star Alliance Gold) members have access regardless of cabin class.

The 'Next Segment' Rule: Eligibility is based on the flight immediately departing that airport. For example, if you fly Economy from Colombo but have a Business Class onward flight from Singapore, you get lounge access in Singapore only. In Singapore (SIN), eligible customers can relax in facilities such as the SilverKris Lounge (First Class), SilverKris Lounge (Business Class), and KrisFlyer Gold Lounge before their onward flight.

Singapore Changi Airport offers a wide range of ways to spend your layover, from themed gardens and quiet rest areas to children’s play zones and art installations across the terminals. If your layover is long enough, you can also consider the official free city tour, which usually requires at least 5.5 to 6 hours between flights.

For shorter connections, staying airside is comfortable and efficient, with many dining choices, shopping, and relaxation spaces close to your gate. Transit hotels and snooze areas can help you rest, especially on overnight or early-morning connections.

Colombo follows Sri Lanka Standard Time, which is UTC+5:30 and does not observe daylight saving time. Xiamen follows China Standard Time, which is UTC+8:00 and also does not observe daylight saving time. Xiamen is therefore 2 hours 30 minutes ahead of Colombo throughout the year.

Through-Check Conditions
For your bags to be sent directly to your final destination, the following general conditions must be met:

Single Itinerary: Both flight segments (Colombo–Singapore and Singapore–Xiamen) must be under the same booking reference or PNR.

Layover Duration: Your connection in Singapore must be less than 24 hours. If your layover exceeds 24 hours, it is considered a stopover, and you will typically be required to collect your luggage and re-check it for your onward flight.

Partner Airlines: If your onward flight from Singapore to Xiamen is operated by a partner airline, Singapore Airlines has through-check agreements that usually allow your bags to be tagged to your final destination.
