Beverage Service
Throughout the journey, our crew serve a range of hot and cold drinks. Our signature Singapore Sling is also available on board, alongside other beverages to complement your meal.

For flights between Taipei and Kathmandu, the weight concept applies. In Economy Class, Lite and Value fares include 25kg of checked baggage, while Standard and Flexi fares include 30kg. Business Class customers enjoy 40kg of checked baggage. Each checked bag must not exceed 32kg.

For cabin baggage, Economy Class customers may bring one piece up to 7kg. Business Class customers may bring two pieces, each up to 7kg. The final baggage allowance for your journey is shown on your e-ticket, and KrisFlyer Elite Gold and PPS Club members enjoy additional allowances.

Wi-Fi is available on Singapore Airlines flights from Taipei to Kathmandu once the aircraft is above 10,000 feet. KrisFlyer members enjoy free and unlimited Wi-Fi, and Economy Class members must add their membership number to the booking at least 1.5 hours before departure. Non-members can purchase access plans. The connection is designed for messaging, email, and basic browsing, and does not support video streaming, video calls, or large file transfers.

On the Taipei to Singapore sector, Economy Class seats offer a 32-inch pitch with up to 19-inch seat width, while Business Class provides a fully flat bed with direct aisle access. This applies on both the Airbus A350-900 and Boeing 787-10 services.

On the Singapore to Kathmandu sector operated by the Boeing 737-8 MAX, Economy Class also offers around a 32-inch pitch, and Business Class features recliner seats arranged for extra space and comfort.

Yes, Singapore Airlines provides lounge access to eligible passengers with a layover in Singapore. Your eligibility is based on your class of travel or your KrisFlyer and Star Alliance status, and it is determined by your flight leaving Singapore. Other options, like purchasing a day pass at a pay-per-use lounge, are also available.

Lounge Access Eligibility
Cabin Class: Complimentary for Suites, First, and Business Class passengers. Premium Economy and Economy travellers do not have access unless they hold eligible status.

Frequent Flyer Status: PPS Club and KrisFlyer Elite Gold (or Star Alliance Gold) members have access regardless of cabin class.

The Next Segment Rule: Eligibility is based on the flight immediately departing that airport. For example, if you fly Economy from Taipei but have a Business Class onward flight from Singapore, you get lounge access in Singapore only.

In Singapore (SIN), eligible customers may use the SilverKris Lounge (First Class), SilverKris Lounge (Business Class), or KrisFlyer Gold Lounge, depending on cabin class and frequent flyer status.

With a layover at Singapore Changi Airport, you can enjoy a wide range of airside facilities, including themed gardens, rest areas, and family-friendly spaces. For longer connections, you may join the official Free Singapore Tour, which usually requires a layover of at least 5.5 to 6 hours and advance registration.

If you prefer to stay in the terminal, there are quiet zones, shower facilities, and a variety of dining and shopping options spread across the terminals. Transit hotels and pay-per-use lounges are also available for additional comfort.

Taipei follows Taiwan Time, which is UTC+8 and does not observe daylight saving time. Kathmandu follows Nepal Time, which is UTC+5:45, also without daylight saving. This means Kathmandu is 2 hours 15 minutes behind Taipei throughout the year.

Yes, your baggage will typically be checked through to Tribhuvan International Airport in Kathmandu when flying from Taipei via Singapore on a single booking with Singapore Airlines.

Through-Check Conditions
For your bags to be sent directly to your final destination, the following general conditions must be met:

Single Itinerary: Both flight segments (Taipei–Singapore and Singapore–Kathmandu) must be under the same booking reference or PNR.

Layover Duration: Your connection in Singapore must be less than 24 hours. If your layover exceeds 24 hours, it is considered a stopover, and you will typically be required to collect your luggage and re-check it for your onward flight.

Partner Airlines: If your onward flight from Singapore to Kathmandu is operated by a partner airline, Singapore Airlines has through-check agreements that usually allow your bags to be tagged to your final destination.
