Beverage Service
Throughout your journey, you can enjoy a selection of hot and cold drinks, including juices, soft drinks, tea, and coffee. Our signature Singapore Sling is also available on board. Please note that no meal service is provided for Economy Class passengers on the Singapore–Kuala Lumpur segment due to the short flight time.

For flights between Yangon and Kuala Lumpur, our weight-concept baggage policy applies. For checked baggage, Economy Class customers may check 25kg on Lite and Value fares, and 30kg on Standard and Flexi fares, while Business Class customers may check 40kg. Each checked bag must not exceed 32kg.

For cabin baggage, Economy Class customers may bring 1 piece up to 7kg, and Business Class customers may bring 2 pieces, each up to 7kg. The final allowance for your trip will be shown on your e-ticket, and KrisFlyer Elite Gold and PPS Club members enjoy additional allowances.

Wi-Fi is available on Singapore Airlines flights between Yangon and Kuala Lumpur once the aircraft is above 10,000 feet. It is free and unlimited for KrisFlyer members, and Economy Class members should add their membership number to the booking at least 1.5 hours before departure.

Non-members can purchase Wi-Fi plans on board. The service is suitable for messaging, email, and basic browsing, but it does not support video streaming, video calls, or large file transfers.

On this route, both the Yangon–Singapore and Singapore–Kuala Lumpur sectors are operated by the Boeing 737-8 MAX. In Economy Class, you can expect a seat pitch of about 32 inches and up to 19 inches of seat width. In Business Class, you will enjoy a fully flat bed with direct aisle access on these flights.

Your eligibility is based on your class of travel or your KrisFlyer and Star Alliance status, and it is determined by your flight leaving Singapore. Other options, like purchasing a day pass at a pay-per-use lounge, are also available.

Eligible customers may be able to use facilities such as the SilverKris Lounge (First Class), SilverKris Lounge (Business Class), or KrisFlyer Gold Lounge, depending on cabin class and membership status.

Lounge Access Eligibility
Cabin Class: Complimentary for Suites, First, and Business Class passengers. Premium Economy and Economy travellers do not have access unless they hold eligible status.

Frequent Flyer Status: PPS Club and KrisFlyer Elite Gold (or Star Alliance Gold) members have access regardless of cabin class.

The 'Next Segment' Rule: Eligibility is based on the flight immediately departing that airport. For example, if you fly Economy from Yangon but have a Business Class onward flight from Singapore, you get lounge access in Singapore only.

Singapore Changi Airport offers a wide range of facilities, including themed gardens, quiet rest areas, play zones, and comfortable seating, making even short layovers pleasant. For longer connections, you can explore additional attractions, from art installations to indoor greenery and viewing galleries.

If you have at least 5.5 to 6 hours between flights, you may consider joining one of the airport’s free transit tours, which take you into the city to see key highlights before returning you in time for your onward flight. For shorter layovers, staying airside lets you make the most of the airport’s amenities and dining options.

Yangon operates on Myanmar Time (MMT), which is UTC+6:30, and does not observe daylight saving time. Kuala Lumpur uses Malaysia Time (MYT), which is UTC+8:00, also without daylight saving time. Kuala Lumpur is therefore 1 hour 30 minutes ahead of Yangon throughout the year.

Yes, your baggage will typically be checked through to Kuala Lumpur International Airport when flying from Yangon via Singapore on a single booking with Singapore Airlines.

Through-Check Conditions
For your bags to be sent directly to your final destination, the following general conditions must be met:

Single Itinerary: Both flight segments (Yangon–Singapore and Singapore–Kuala Lumpur) must be under the same booking reference or PNR.

Layover Duration: Your connection in Singapore must be less than 24 hours. If your layover exceeds 24 hours, it is considered a stopover, and you will typically be required to collect your luggage and re-check it for your onward flight.

Partner Airlines: If your onward flight from Singapore to Kuala Lumpur is operated by a partner airline, Singapore Airlines has through-check agreements that usually allow your bags to be tagged to your final destination.
