On the Auckland–Singapore and Singapore–Los Angeles sectors, you will be served full meals appropriate to the flight time and direction in Economy Class, Premium Economy Class, and Business Class, with menus inspired by regional and international flavours.

Special Meals
We offer a wide range of special meals to meet medical, vegetarian, or other needs. You can request these when you book your ticket or via Manage Booking, and we recommend making your selection at least 48 hours before departure.

Book the Cook
Eligible passengers in selected premium cabins can pre-order from an expanded menu before departure through our Book the Cook service, giving greater choice and the reassurance that a preferred main course will be reserved.

Beverage Service
Throughout your flights, a selection of hot and cold drinks is available, including juices, soft drinks, teas, and coffees. A range of alcoholic beverages is also offered, and you can enjoy our signature Singapore Sling on board.

For journeys between New Zealand and the United States of America, our piece concept applies. In checked baggage, Economy Class passengers may take 2 pieces, each up to 23kg; Premium Economy Class passengers 2 pieces, each up to 23kg; and Business Class passengers 2 pieces, each up to 32kg. Each individual checked piece must not exceed 32kg. For cabin baggage, Economy Class and Premium Economy Class passengers may bring 1 piece up to 7kg, while Business Class passengers may bring 2 pieces, each up to 7kg. Your final allowance is shown on your e-ticket, and KrisFlyer Elite Gold and PPS Club members have additional allowances.

Wi-Fi is available on Singapore Airlines flights once the aircraft is above 10,000 feet. It is free and unlimited for KrisFlyer members; Economy Class and Premium Economy Class customers should ensure their membership number is in the booking at least 1.5 hours before departure. Paid plans are available for non-members. The connection is suitable for messaging, email, and basic browsing, but does not support video streaming, video calls, or large file transfers.

On both the Auckland–Singapore and Singapore–Los Angeles sectors, Economy Class seats offer a 32-inch pitch and up to 19-inch seat width for comfortable long-haul travel. Premium Economy Class provides a 38-inch pitch and up to 20-inch seat width with extra recline and leg support. Business Class features a fully flat bed with direct aisle access from every seat, giving you ample space to rest or work throughout the journey.

Yes, Singapore Airlines provides lounge access to eligible passengers with a layover in Singapore. Your eligibility is based on your class of travel or your KrisFlyer and Star Alliance status, and it is determined by your flight leaving Singapore. Other options, like purchasing a day pass at a pay-per-use lounge, are also available.

Lounge Access Eligibility
Cabin Class: Complimentary for Suites, First, and Business Class passengers. Premium Economy and Economy travellers do not have access unless they hold eligible status.

Frequent Flyer Status: PPS Club and KrisFlyer Elite Gold (or Star Alliance Gold) members have access regardless of cabin class.

The 'Next Segment' Rule: Eligibility is based on the flight immediately departing that airport. For example, if you fly Economy from Auckland but have a Business Class onward flight from Singapore, you get lounge access in Singapore only.

In Singapore, eligible passengers may be invited to relax in the SilverKris Lounge (First Class), SilverKris Lounge (Business Class), or KrisFlyer Gold Lounge, depending on their cabin and membership status.

Singapore Changi Airport offers an official free transit tour for passengers with longer layovers, typically requiring at least around 5.5 to 6 hours between flights; this lets you see highlights of the city before returning for your onward journey. For shorter connections, you can stay airside and enjoy themed gardens, rest areas, and children’s play zones. Additional facilities such as airport hotels, spa services, and swimming pools are available in selected terminals, allowing you to refresh between flights. Your time at Singapore Changi Airport is more than just a wait — it is an integral part of your journey.

Auckland is in the Pacific/Auckland time zone, which is UTC+12, moving to UTC+13 during New Zealand daylight time (roughly late September to early April). Los Angeles is in the America/Los_Angeles time zone, which is UTC−8, moving to UTC−7 during daylight saving time (roughly March to early November). Depending on the time of year, Auckland is typically 19 to 21 hours ahead of Los Angeles.

Through-Check Conditions
For your bags to be sent directly to your final destination, the following general conditions must be met:

Single Itinerary: Both flight segments (Auckland–Singapore and Singapore–Los Angeles) must be under the same booking reference or PNR.

Layover Duration: Your connection in Singapore must be less than 24 hours. If your layover exceeds 24 hours, it is considered a stopover, and you will typically be required to collect your luggage and re-check it for your onward flight.

Partner Airlines: If your onward flight from Singapore to Los Angeles is operated by a partner airline, Singapore Airlines has through-check agreements that usually allow your bags to be tagged to your final destination.
