For flights between Cairns and Kolkata, the weight concept applies. Checked baggage: Economy Class guests may check 25kg on Lite and Value fares, or 30kg on Standard and Flexi fares. Business Class guests may check up to 40kg. Each checked bag must not exceed 32kg.

Cabin baggage: Economy Class guests may bring 1 piece up to 7kg. Business Class guests may bring 2 pieces, each up to 7kg. The final allowance for your journey is shown on your e-ticket, and KrisFlyer Elite Gold and PPS Club members enjoy additional allowances.

Wi-Fi is available on Singapore Airlines flights from Cairns to Kolkata once the aircraft is above 10,000 feet. The 'Next Segment' Rule: Eligibility is based on the flight immediately departing that airport. For example, if you fly Economy from Cairns but have a Business Class onward flight from Singapore, you get lounge access in Singapore only.

Singapore Changi Airport is designed for comfortable transits, with themed gardens, quiet zones, play areas, and a wide choice of dining and shopping. For shorter layovers, you can relax in seating areas, explore the terminals, or freshen up with a shower or a short stay in an airport hotel.

With a longer layover of at least 5.5 hours, you may be able to join an official transit tour into the city, subject to eligibility and timing, allowing you to see some of Singapore’s highlights before returning for your onward flight.
