Beverage Service
A choice of hot and cold drinks is served on board, including juices, soft drinks, teas, and coffee, as well as a curated selection of alcoholic beverages. Our signature Singapore Sling is also available during your flight.

For Chennai–Phuket flights, the weight concept applies. For checked baggage, Economy Class customers may check 25kg on Lite and Value fares or 30kg on Standard and Flexi fares. Business Class customers may check up to 40kg. Each checked bag must not exceed 32kg.

For cabin baggage, Economy Class customers may bring 1 piece up to 7kg, while Business Class customers may bring 2 pieces, each up to 7kg. Your exact allowance is shown on your e-ticket, and KrisFlyer Elite Gold and PPS Club members enjoy additional allowances.

Wi-Fi is available on most Singapore Airlines aircraft on the Chennai–Phuket route once the aircraft is above 10,000 feet. It is free and unlimited for KrisFlyer members; Economy Class and Business Class customers should add their membership number to the booking at least 1.5 hours before departure.

Non-members can purchase access plans on board. The service is suitable for messaging, email, and basic browsing, but it does not support video streaming, video calls, or large file transfers.

On both the Chennai–Singapore and Singapore–Phuket sectors, Economy Class offers a seat pitch of around 32 inches, with seat widths up to 19 inches, giving you comfortable personal space for the journey.

Cabin Class: Complimentary for Suites, First, and Business Class passengers. Premium Economy and Economy travellers do not have access unless they hold eligible status.

Frequent Flyer Status: PPS Club and KrisFlyer Elite Gold (or Star Alliance Gold) members have access regardless of cabin class.

The 'Next Segment' Rule: Eligibility is based on the flight immediately departing that airport. For example, if you fly Economy from Chennai but have a Business Class onward flight from Singapore, you get lounge access in Singapore only.

At Singapore (SIN), eligible customers may be invited to relax in the SilverKris Lounge (First Class), SilverKris Lounge (Business Class), or the KrisFlyer Gold Lounge, depending on their cabin and status.

Singapore Changi Airport is designed for comfortable transits, with themed gardens, rest areas, play zones, and a wide range of dining choices across its terminals. For longer layovers, you can join one of the airport’s official free transit tours into the city, usually available if you meet minimum connection time requirements.

If you prefer to stay airside, you can enjoy facilities such as relaxation zones, walking trails through indoor greenery, and, in certain terminals, attractions like viewing decks or entertainment areas. Many travellers also choose to freshen up or relax in quiet seating areas between flights.

Chennai follows India Standard Time (IST), which is UTC+5:30 and does not observe daylight saving time. Phuket follows Indochina Time (ICT), which is UTC+7:00 and also does not observe daylight saving time. Phuket is therefore 1 hour 30 minutes ahead of Chennai all year round.

Through-Check Conditions
For your bags to be sent directly to your final destination, the following general conditions must be met:

Single Itinerary: Both flight segments (Chennai–Singapore and Singapore–Phuket) must be under the same booking reference or PNR.

Layover Duration: Your connection in Singapore must be less than 24 hours. If your layover exceeds 24 hours, it is considered a stopover, and you will typically be required to collect your luggage and re-check it for your onward flight.

Partner Airlines: If your onward flight from Singapore to Phuket is operated by a partner airline, Singapore Airlines has through-check agreements that usually allow your bags to be tagged to your final destination.
