Beverage Service
Throughout the journey, you can enjoy a selection of hot and cold drinks, including juices, soft drinks, and hot beverages. Our signature Singapore Sling is available on board, alongside a curated range of other alcoholic and non-alcoholic options.

For Beijing–Yangon journeys, the weight-concept applies. In Economy Class, checked baggage allowances are 25kg on Lite and Value fares, and 30kg on Standard and Flexi fares. Premium Economy Class on selected Beijing–Singapore flights includes 35kg, Business Class 40kg, and First Class 50kg. Each checked bag must not exceed 32kg. For cabin baggage, Economy Class and Premium Economy Class guests may bring 1 piece up to 7kg, while Business Class and First Class guests may bring 2 pieces, each up to 7kg. Your exact allowance will be shown on your e-ticket, and KrisFlyer Elite Gold and PPS Club members enjoy additional allowances.

Wi-Fi is available on board once the aircraft is above 10,000 feet on most Beijing–Singapore–Yangon services. It is free and unlimited for KrisFlyer members; Economy Class and Premium Economy Class members should ensure their membership number is added to the booking at least 1.5 hours before departure. Non-members can purchase access plans. The service is suitable for messaging, email, and basic browsing, but it does not support video streaming, video calls, or large file transfers.

On all sectors between Beijing, Singapore, and Yangon, Economy Class offers a seat pitch of about 32 inches with up to 19 inches of seat width. Premium Economy Class, available on selected Boeing 777-300ER services between Beijing and Singapore, offers about 38 inches of pitch and up to 20 inches of width. Business Class provides a fully flat bed with direct aisle access on long-haul aircraft and lie-flat comfort on regional services, while First Class on the Boeing 777-300ER between Beijing and Singapore features a spacious seat that converts into a fully flat bed.

Yes, Singapore Airlines provides lounge access to eligible passengers with a layover in Singapore. Your eligibility is based on your class of travel or your KrisFlyer and Star Alliance status, and it is determined by your flight leaving Singapore. Other options, like purchasing a day pass at a pay-per-use lounge, are also available.

Lounge Access Eligibility
Cabin Class: Complimentary for Suites, First, and Business Class passengers. Premium Economy and Economy travellers do not have access unless they hold eligible status.

Frequent Flyer Status: PPS Club and KrisFlyer Elite Gold (or Star Alliance Gold) members have access regardless of cabin class.

The 'Next Segment' Rule: Eligibility is based on the flight immediately departing that airport. For example, if you fly Economy from Beijing but have a Business Class onward flight from Singapore, you get lounge access in Singapore only. In Singapore (SIN), eligible customers may enjoy The Private Room, SilverKris Lounge (First Class), SilverKris Lounge (Business Class), or KrisFlyer Gold Lounge depending on their cabin and status.

Singapore Changi Airport offers extensive facilities that make layovers comfortable and engaging. With a long enough connection, you can consider a city tour operated from the airport, which usually requires at least about 5.5 to 6 hours of transit time to join. For shorter layovers, you can enjoy airside attractions such as indoor gardens, quiet rest zones, entertainment areas, and a wide choice of dining options without leaving the terminal. Your time at Singapore Changi Airport is more than just a wait — it is an integral part of your journey.

Beijing follows China Standard Time (UTC+8) all year, with no daylight saving time. Yangon follows Myanmar Time (UTC+6:30), also without daylight saving. Yangon is therefore 1 hour 30 minutes behind Beijing throughout the year.

Yes, your baggage will typically be checked through to Yangon International Airport when flying from Beijing via Singapore on a single booking with Singapore Airlines.

Through-Check Conditions
For your bags to be sent directly to your final destination, the following general conditions must be met:

Single Itinerary: Both flight segments (Beijing–Singapore and Singapore–Yangon) must be under the same booking reference or PNR.

Layover Duration: Your connection in Singapore must be less than 24 hours. If your layover exceeds 24 hours, it is considered a stopover, and you will typically be required to collect your luggage and re-check it for your onward flight.

Partner Airlines: If your onward flight from Singapore to Yangon is operated by a partner airline, Singapore Airlines has through-check agreements that usually allow your bags to be tagged to your final destination.

You may be able to plan a stopover in Singapore on your Beijing–Yangon trip, subject to your ticket conditions and availability.
