For flights between New York and Medan, the piece concept applies for checked baggage. For checked baggage, Premium Economy Class customers may check in 2 pieces, each up to 23kg, and Business Class customers may check in 2 pieces, each up to 32kg. Each individual checked piece must not exceed 32kg. For cabin baggage, Premium Economy Class customers may bring 1 piece up to 7kg, while Business Class customers may bring 2 pieces, each up to 7kg. Your final baggage allowance is shown on your e-ticket, and KrisFlyer Elite Gold and PPS Club members enjoy additional allowances.

The Next Segment Rule: Eligibility is based on the flight immediately departing that airport. For example, if you fly Economy from New York but have a Business Class onward flight from Singapore, you get lounge access in Singapore only. In Singapore (SIN), eligible customers may use facilities such as the SilverKris Lounge (First Class), SilverKris Lounge (Business Class), and KrisFlyer Gold Lounge, depending on their cabin and status.

Singapore Changi Airport offers extensive facilities and, for longer layovers of at least around 5.5 to 6 hours, you can join an official city tour, subject to eligibility and timing. This allows you to see highlights of Singapore before returning to the transit area for your onward flight.

If you prefer to stay airside, you can enjoy themed gardens, rest zones, art installations, and, in some terminals, attractions such as indoor slides or a swimming pool and transit hotels for added comfort. There are also many dining and shopping options close to the gates.
