For Rome–Medan journeys, the weight concept applies. Checked baggage allowances are: Economy Class (Lite/Value fares: 25kg; Standard/Flexi: 30kg), Premium Economy Class (35kg), and Business Class (40kg). Each checked bag must not exceed 32kg. Cabin baggage allowances are: Economy Class and Premium Economy Class (1 piece, up to 7kg), and Business Class (2 pieces, each up to 7kg). Your final allowance is shown on your e-ticket, and KrisFlyer Elite Gold and PPS Club members enjoy additional allowances.

Yes, Wi-Fi is available on Singapore Airlines flights once the aircraft is above 10,000 feet. Wi-Fi is free and unlimited for KrisFlyer members; Economy Class and Premium Economy Class customers should add their membership number to the booking at least 1.5 hours before departure. Non-members can purchase access plans. The connection is suitable for messaging, email, and basic browsing, but it does not support video streaming, video calls, or large file transfers.

On the Rome to Singapore Airbus A350-900 sector, Economy Class seats offer a 32-inch pitch with up to 19-inch seat width, Premium Economy Class offers a 38-inch pitch with up to 20-inch seat width, and Business Class features a fully flat bed with direct aisle access. On the Singapore to Medan Boeing 737-8 MAX sector, Economy Class also provides comfortable legroom similar to our long-haul standards, while Business Class offers a generous recline and enhanced personal space for the shorter regional flight.

Your eligibility is based on your class of travel or your KrisFlyer and Star Alliance status, and it is determined by your flight leaving Singapore. Cabin Class: Complimentary for Suites, First, and Business Class passengers. Premium Economy and Economy travellers do not have access unless they hold eligible status.

Frequent Flyer Status: PPS Club and KrisFlyer Elite Gold (or Star Alliance Gold) members have access regardless of cabin class.

The 'Next Segment' Rule: Eligibility is based on the flight immediately departing that airport. For example, if you fly Economy from Rome but have a Business Class onward flight from Singapore, you get lounge access in Singapore only.

Singapore Changi Airport offers extensive amenities that make layovers comfortable and enjoyable, including themed gardens, rest areas, and play zones. With a longer connection of at least 5.5 to 6 hours, you may join an official transit tour into the city, subject to operational availability and entry requirements. For shorter layovers, you can stay airside to enjoy walking trails, quiet zones, and a wide choice of dining and shopping, as well as airport hotels and rest facilities if you need a nap or shower. Rome follows Central European Time (UTC+1) in winter and Central European Summer Time (UTC+2) from roughly late March to late October. Medan follows Western Indonesia Time (UTC+7) year-round. This means Medan is 6 hours ahead of Rome in winter, and 5 hours ahead during Rome's summer time.

Partner Airlines: If your onward flight from Singapore to Medan is operated by a partner airline, Singapore Airlines has through-check agreements that usually allow your bags to be tagged to your final destination.
