For flights between Shanghai and Dubai, our baggage policy follows the weight concept. Checked baggage allowances are: Economy Class (25kg on Lite and Value fares, 30kg on Standard and Flexi fares), Premium Economy Class (35kg), Business Class (40kg), and First Class (50kg). Each checked bag must not exceed 32kg. Cabin baggage allowances are: Economy Class and Premium Economy Class (1 piece up to 7kg), and Business Class and First Class (2 pieces, each up to 7kg). Your exact allowance is shown on your e-ticket, and KrisFlyer Elite Gold and PPS Club members enjoy additional allowances.

Wi-Fi is available on Singapore Airlines flights from Shanghai to Dubai once the aircraft is above 10,000 feet. It is free and unlimited for KrisFlyer members, and Economy Class and Premium Economy Class customers should add their membership number to the booking at least 1.5 hours before departure. Non-members can choose from paid plans. The service is ideal for messaging, email, and basic browsing, but does not support video streaming, video calls, or large file transfers.

On sectors operated in Economy Class, you can expect a seat pitch of 32 inches with up to 19 inches of seat width. Cabin Class: Complimentary for Suites, First, and Business Class passengers. Premium Economy and Economy travellers do not have access unless they hold eligible status.

Frequent Flyer Status: PPS Club and KrisFlyer Elite Gold (or Star Alliance Gold) members have access regardless of cabin class.

The 'Next Segment' Rule: Eligibility is based on the flight immediately departing that airport. For example, if you fly Economy from Shanghai but have a Business Class onward flight from Singapore, you get lounge access in Singapore only. In Singapore Changi Airport, eligible customers may use The Private Room, SilverKris Lounge (First Class), SilverKris Lounge (Business Class), or KrisFlyer Gold Lounge, according to their class of travel and membership status.

Singapore Changi Airport offers many ways to spend your layover, from themed gardens and art installations to rest areas and quiet zones for relaxation. With a longer layover of at least about 5.5 to 6 hours, you can consider joining one of the airport's official city tours, subject to availability and entry requirements. For shorter connections, remain airside to enjoy the airport's amenities, including walking trails, play areas, and a wide selection of dining options. Shanghai operates on China Standard Time (UTC+8) year-round and does not observe daylight saving time. Dubai follows Gulf Standard Time (UTC+4) and also does not observe daylight saving time. Dubai is therefore 4 hours behind Shanghai throughout the year.

For your bags to be sent directly to your final destination, the following general conditions must be met:
