Best time to visit India

India has varied climates, but many popular regions follow three broad travel periods. Peak season runs from November to February, when much of northern and central India is cooler and drier, with typical daytime temperatures around 15–25°C (59–77°F). Shoulder season covers March to May and September to October, when temperatures climb, especially inland, often reaching 28–38°C (82–100°F), and conditions can be humid. Low season usually coincides with the southwest monsoon from June to early September in many areas, when rain is frequent, temperatures sit around 25–32°C (77–90°F), and some coastal or rural regions experience short-lived heavy showers.
