Special Meals

Beverage Service
Throughout the flight, you can enjoy a range of hot and cold beverages. Our signature Singapore Sling is available on board, along with juices, soft drinks, tea, and coffee.

For flights between Manila and Colombo, our weight-concept baggage policy applies. In Economy Class, Lite and Value fares include 25kg of checked baggage, while Standard and Flexi fares include 30kg. In Business Class, the checked baggage allowance is 40kg. Each checked bag must not exceed 32kg.

For cabin baggage, Economy Class passengers may bring 1 piece up to 7kg. Business Class passengers may bring 2 pieces, each up to 7kg. Your exact allowance is shown on your e-ticket, and KrisFlyer Elite Gold and PPS Club members enjoy additional allowances.

Wi-Fi is available on Singapore Airlines flights from Manila to Colombo once the aircraft is above 10,000 feet. It is free and unlimited for KrisFlyer members; Economy Class members must add their KrisFlyer number to the booking at least 1.5 hours before departure. Non-members can choose from paid plans.

The connection is suitable for messaging, email, and basic browsing, but it does not support video streaming, video calls, or large file transfers.

On both the Manila–Singapore and Singapore–Colombo sectors in Economy Class, you can expect a seat pitch of around 32 inches and up to 19 inches in seat width. This provides a comfortable amount of legroom for regional flights.

In Business Class on all sectors, you will have a fully flat bed with generous personal space and direct aisle access, allowing you to rest, work, or dine in comfort throughout your journey.

Yes, Singapore Airlines provides lounge access to eligible passengers with a layover in Singapore. Your eligibility is based on your class of travel or your KrisFlyer and Star Alliance status, and it is determined by your flight leaving Singapore. Other options, like purchasing a day pass at a pay-per-use lounge, are also available. Eligible customers may be invited to relax in facilities such as the SilverKris Lounge (First Class), SilverKris Lounge (Business Class), or KrisFlyer Gold Lounge, depending on their cabin and status.

Lounge Access Eligibility
Cabin Class: Complimentary for Suites, First, and Business Class passengers. Premium Economy and Economy travellers do not have access unless they hold eligible status.

Frequent Flyer Status: PPS Club and KrisFlyer Elite Gold (or Star Alliance Gold) members have access regardless of cabin class.

The 'Next Segment' Rule: Eligibility is based on the flight immediately departing that airport. For example, if you fly Economy from Manila but have a Business Class onward flight from Singapore, you get lounge access in Singapore only.

Singapore Changi Airport regularly offers a free official transit tour for passengers with a longer layover, typically requiring at least about 5.5 to 6 hours between flights. If your timing fits, this can be a relaxed way to see highlights of Singapore without arranging your own transport.

For shorter layovers, consider staying airside and enjoying Changi Airport's attractions, such as themed gardens, art installations, comfortable seating, and rest areas. Depending on your terminal, you may also find family zones, a swimming pool, and quiet corners ideal for a brief break.

Manila follows Philippine Time, which is UTC+8 and does not observe daylight saving time. Colombo uses Sri Lanka Standard Time, which is UTC+5:30 and also does not change throughout the year. Colombo is therefore 2 hours 30 minutes behind Manila at all times.

Yes, your baggage will typically be checked through to Bandaranaike International Airport (Colombo) when flying from Manila via Singapore on a single booking with Singapore Airlines.

Through-Check Conditions
For your bags to be sent directly to your final destination, the following general conditions must be met:

Single Itinerary: Both flight segments (Manila–Singapore and Singapore–Colombo) must be under the same booking reference or PNR.

Layover Duration: Your connection in Singapore must be less than 24 hours. If your layover exceeds 24 hours, it is considered a stopover, and you will typically be required to collect your luggage and re-check it for your onward flight.

Partner Airlines: If your onward flight from Singapore to Colombo is operated by a partner airline, Singapore Airlines has through-check agreements that usually allow your bags to be tagged to your final destination.
