For flights between Chennai and Frankfurt, the weight concept applies. Checked baggage allowances are: Economy Class (Lite/Value fares: 25kg; Standard/Flexi: 30kg), Premium Economy Class (35kg), Business Class (40kg), and First Class (50kg). Each checked bag must not exceed 32kg. Cabin baggage allowances are: Economy Class and Premium Economy Class (1 piece, up to 7kg), and First Class and Business Class (2 pieces, each up to 7kg). The 'Next Segment' Rule: Eligibility is based on the flight immediately departing that airport. For example, if you fly Economy from Chennai but have a Business Class onward flight from Singapore, you get lounge access in Singapore only. In Singapore, eligible passengers may relax in facilities such as The Private Room, the SilverKris Lounge (First Class), the SilverKris Lounge (Business Class), or the KrisFlyer Gold Lounge before their connecting flight.

If you have a longer layover at Singapore Changi Airport, you can consider joining one of the airport's official free transit tours into the city, which typically require at least a 5.5–6 hour connection. For shorter layovers, staying airside at Changi Airport is very comfortable. You can enjoy themed gardens, rest areas, and quiet zones, or simply stretch your legs along the spacious terminals. Some terminals also feature attractions such as play areas and art displays.
