For flights between Istanbul and Xiamen, the weight concept applies. Checked baggage allowances are: Economy Class (25kg for Lite and Value fares, 30kg for Standard and Flexi fares), Premium Economy Class (35kg), and Business Class (40kg). Each checked bag must not exceed 32kg.

For cabin baggage, Economy Class and Premium Economy Class travellers may bring 1 piece up to 7kg. Business Class travellers may bring 2 pieces, each up to 7kg. Your final allowance will be shown on your e-ticket, and KrisFlyer Elite Gold and PPS Club members enjoy additional allowances.

Wi-Fi is available on Singapore Airlines flights on this route once the aircraft is above 10,000 feet. It is free and unlimited for KrisFlyer members; Economy Class and Premium Economy Class customers should add their membership number to the booking at least 1.5 hours before departure. Non-members can purchase access plans. The service supports messaging, email, and basic browsing, but does not support video streaming, video calls, or large file transfers.

Your eligibility is based on your class of travel or your KrisFlyer and Star Alliance status, and it is determined by your flight leaving Singapore. Other options, like purchasing a day pass at a pay-per-use lounge, are also available.

At Singapore Changi Airport, eligible customers may be able to use facilities such as the SilverKris Lounge (First Class), SilverKris Lounge (Business Class), or KrisFlyer Gold Lounge, depending on cabin and status.

The 'Next Segment' Rule: Eligibility is based on the flight immediately departing that airport. For example, if you fly Economy from Istanbul but have a Business Class onward flight from Singapore, you get lounge access in Singapore only.

With a layover at Singapore Changi Airport, you can stay airside and enjoy landscaped gardens, rest areas, and a wide range of dining and shopping options. For longer connections, you may have time to relax in a transit hotel, visit a swimming pool, or explore themed zones across the terminals.

Eligible travellers can join the official free transit tour into the city when available, typically requiring at least a 5.5-hour layover for a daytime tour. This offers a convenient way to see highlights of Singapore without arranging your own transport.

Istanbul follows Türkiye Time (UTC+3) year-round without daylight saving. Xiamen follows China Standard Time (UTC+8) year-round. Xiamen is therefore 5 hours ahead of Istanbul throughout the year; when it is 12.00 noon in Istanbul, it is 17.00 in Xiamen.

Through-Check Conditions
For your bags to be sent directly to your final destination, the following general conditions must be met:

Partner Airlines: If your onward flight from Singapore to Xiamen is operated by a partner airline, Singapore Airlines has through-check agreements that usually allow your bags to be tagged to your final destination.
