For flights between Shanghai and Ho Chi Minh City, the weight concept applies. Checked baggage allowances are: Economy Class (Lite and Value fares: 25kg; Standard and Flexi fares: 30kg), Premium Economy Class (35kg), Business Class (40kg), and First Class (50kg). Each checked bag must not exceed 32kg.

For cabin baggage, Economy Class and Premium Economy Class customers may bring 1 piece up to 7kg, while Business Class and First Class customers may bring 2 pieces, each up to 7kg. Your final baggage allowance is shown on your e-ticket, and KrisFlyer Elite Gold and PPS Club members enjoy additional allowances.

Wi-Fi is available on most Singapore Airlines flights between Shanghai, Singapore, and Ho Chi Minh City once the aircraft is above 10,000 feet. It is free and unlimited for KrisFlyer members; Economy Class and Premium Economy Class customers should add their membership number to the booking at least 1.5 hours before departure.

Non-members can purchase access plans on board. The connection is suitable for messaging, email, and basic browsing, but it does not support video streaming, video calls, or large file transfers.

Your eligibility is based on your class of travel or your KrisFlyer and Star Alliance status, and it is determined by your flight leaving Singapore. Other options, like purchasing a day pass at a pay-per-use lounge, are also available.

The 'Next Segment' Rule: Eligibility is based on the flight immediately departing that airport. For example, if you fly Economy from Shanghai but have a Business Class onward flight from Singapore, you get lounge access in Singapore only.

Singapore Changi Airport offers many ways to relax and explore during your layover. If you have at least 5.5 to 6 hours between flights and meet immigration requirements, you may consider joining an official transit tour to see highlights of the city.
