For flights between Tokyo and Colombo, the weight-concept baggage policy applies. Checked baggage allowances are: Economy Class (25kg on Lite and Value fares, 30kg on Standard and Flexi fares), Premium Economy Class (35kg), Business Class (40kg), and First Class (50kg). Each checked bag must not exceed 32kg. Cabin baggage allowances are: Economy Class and Premium Economy Class (1 piece up to 7kg), and Business Class and First Class (2 pieces, each up to 7kg). Your exact allowance will be shown on your e-ticket, and KrisFlyer Elite Gold and PPS Club members enjoy additional allowances.

Wi-Fi is available on Singapore Airlines services from Tokyo to Colombo once the aircraft is above 10,000 feet. It is free and unlimited for KrisFlyer members; Economy Class and Premium Economy Class customers must add their membership number to the booking at least 1.5 hours before departure. Non-members can purchase access plans on board. The service is suitable for messaging, email, and basic browsing, but does not support video streaming, video calls, or large file transfers.

Lounge Access Eligibility
Cabin Class: Complimentary for Suites, First, and Business Class passengers, who may be invited to facilities such as The Private Room, SilverKris Lounge (First Class), or SilverKris Lounge (Business Class). Premium Economy and Economy travellers do not have access unless they hold eligible status.

Frequent Flyer Status: PPS Club and KrisFlyer Elite Gold (or Star Alliance Gold) members have access regardless of cabin class, with entry to lounges such as the KrisFlyer Gold Lounge where applicable.

The 'Next Segment' Rule: Eligibility is based on the flight immediately departing that airport. For example, if you fly Economy from Tokyo but have a Business Class onward flight from Singapore, you get lounge access in Singapore only.

If you have at least 5.5 to 6 hours between flights, you can consider joining an official transit tour to get a short overview of Singapore's highlights before returning to the airport. These tours are designed for transfer passengers and operate subject to timing and availability.

For shorter layovers, staying airside at Singapore Changi Airport is very comfortable, with themed gardens, quiet rest areas, free cinema screenings in selected terminals, and children's play zones. You can also refresh with shower facilities or a swim at selected airport hotels and facilities.

Through-Check Conditions
For your bags to be sent directly to your final destination, the following general conditions must be met:
