A selection of hot and cold beverages is available throughout the flight, including juices, soft drinks, teas, and coffees. You can also enjoy our signature Singapore Sling on board, along with a curated range of other drinks.

For flights between Auckland and Johannesburg, the weight concept applies. Checked baggage allowances are: Economy Class (Lite and Value fares: 25kg; Standard and Flexi: 30kg), Premium Economy Class (35kg), and Business Class (40kg). Each checked bag must not exceed 32kg.

For cabin baggage, Economy Class and Premium Economy Class customers may bring 1 piece up to 7kg. Business Class customers may bring 2 pieces, each up to 7kg. The final allowance for your trip is shown on your e-ticket, and KrisFlyer Elite Gold and PPS Club members enjoy additional allowances.

Wi-Fi is available on Singapore Airlines flights from Auckland to Johannesburg once the aircraft is above 10,000 feet. It is free and unlimited for KrisFlyer members; Economy Class and Premium Economy Class customers should add their membership number to the booking at least 1.5 hours before departure. Non-members can purchase access plans. The connection is suitable for messaging, email, and basic browsing, but it does not support video streaming, video calls, or large file transfers.

On both the Auckland–Singapore and Singapore–Johannesburg sectors, Economy Class seats offer a 32-inch pitch with up to 19-inch seat width, providing balanced comfort for long journeys. Your eligibility is based on your class of travel or your KrisFlyer and Star Alliance status, and it is determined by your flight leaving Singapore. Other options, like purchasing a day pass at a pay-per-use lounge, are also available.

Eligible customers may have access to facilities such as the SilverKris Lounge (First Class), SilverKris Lounge (Business Class), or the KrisFlyer Gold Lounge when transiting Singapore.

Lounge Access Eligibility
Cabin Class: Complimentary for Suites, First, and Business Class passengers. Premium Economy and Economy travellers do not have access unless they hold eligible status.

Frequent Flyer Status: PPS Club and KrisFlyer Elite Gold (or Star Alliance Gold) members have access regardless of cabin class.

The 'Next Segment' Rule: Eligibility is based on the flight immediately departing that airport. For example, if you fly Economy from Auckland but have a Business Class onward flight from Singapore, you get lounge access in Singapore only.

Singapore Changi Airport offers extensive facilities, so even a short layover can feel relaxed and enjoyable. For transits of at least 5.5 to 6 hours, you may consider joining an official transit tour into the city, subject to eligibility and timing.

If you prefer to stay airside or have a shorter connection, you can explore themed gardens, quiet rest areas, children’s play zones, and entertainment spaces across the terminals. Showers, transit hotels, and a wide range of dining options help you refresh between flights.
